Horror customer service

Terrible stay which started by a manager running into the car park and screaming at us before we established we were actually guests. When we complained about his attitude he told us we could leave.

The property was great! We were allowed to check in early to stay out of the rain which was very kind! The bed was comfy, but a little small! The TV was great! We had great channels to watch in the evenings! The bathroom was a good size and the shower pressure was great!!! Very happy with our stay!!

Great value, excellent location

Great value for money. Good bathroom, powerful shower. Well located, just a short walk to the centre of Oxford, with buses at the doorstep for further travel.

Convenient but basic.

Bedroom was small but functional, with the basic essentials, but limited hanging space. The ensuite was small and basic. The room was situated on the second floor reached by 3 flights of stairs which was a bit of a mission for us oldies. The room was clean but it appeared the cleaning was not detailed and the shower cubicle and tea tray were not particularly clean. We did not try the breakfast, which was only continental and expensive. The best thing about this property was its easy access to the City centre and the free parking.

We really only slept here 2 nights and so can't comment too much other than the room was clean and comfortable. The staff i only spoke to on the phone and via email as we arrived late and left super early both days, were incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay again, thank you for your help!

Stayed 3 nights for 2025 British GP. Can pick up a bus 1 block away, but only 15 min walk to downtown Oxford, where you can catch bus routes to Oxforad parkway Park & Ride, or pretty much any other bus route available. Clean, nice and helpful staff. Not luxury, but just nice overall. Has private parking lot in back, but may be full if you show up later in the eveing so beware as parking overall in Oxford is awful.

Great place!

This is a great no frills option for staying in Oxford. The front desk staff was helpful, informative, and friendly. It’s just a short walk from the town center and all of the Colleges. And it’s quiet since it’s not in the middle of town. I’d stay there again for sure.

Weekend stay

Very smart hotel, nicely kept with helpful staff, good size rooms and good storage with parking available if you require. Convenient distance from Oxford centre. Near to public transport.

Great find for overnight theatre stay Lovley clean property warm welcome at Reception busses pass the door regularly for the city,and no it didn’t disturb us, 20 min walk to city Well panned room nice shower liked the mirror light to be able to leave dimmed for nighttime visits. Would use again no breakfast we booked room only

It was a very good stay for such a reasonable price! The bathroom was very much up-to-date and clean, bed was warm and comfy and the blankets are soft. It is an old building so the noise can be easily heard from other rooms. There was some guest above us that was very loud and noisy during 2am to early 6am so i wasn’t able to sleep as sound. But overall it is a great place to stay, just depends on whoever is above you
