Great stay!
Check-in was easy. Room was very clean and updated. We stayed 2 nights and appreciated the continental breakfast each morning. The pool & hot tub looked very inviting but didn't fit into our plans this time.

We had not stayed here for a few years. Everything is still good and the Breakfast room is much larger and better stocked than it used to be. We will be back soon. We like Pacific Grove even though it can be on the foggy side.

Our king size room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed going down in the morning to get a good cup of coffee, fruit and a bagel (there are other items as well, but this is what I got.) It is an older hotel, but bright and airy with lots of natural light and plants all around. The refrigerator in the room was a little loud at night, so I just wore ear plugs and then slept well. Overall, it's not a fancy hotel by any means, but more than adequate. I recommend it.

Clean and okay room
The room was clean and spacious. However, the furniture is very dated. I felt like I walked back in time to the early 90's. Actually, the halls and lobby were dated as well. There was a lovely balcony, no furniture to enjoy it. The refrigerator had one setting - freeze! My husband tried adjusting it, but it didn't work. We had to toss the items we brought because they were frozen solid by morning. Also, the shower nozzle was just a stream of water which made showering interesting. The one good thing about the room was the mattress. It was comfortable. I'm not quite sure why it's called a "resort," as I didn't see anything that would define it as such.

For the rate, this is definitely an excellent choice. Quiet location, friendly staff. They served a very good breakfast and answered all my questions. Very good stay.

Perfect for us
We really enjoyed the location because it was within walking distance to Monterey Peninsula and Monarch Butterfly Garden. They advertised a "continental" breakfast, but it was so much better than what I anticipated. The layout and decor of hotel were very pleasing.

This property is very old . It needs to be painted, carpet replaced, & an overall facelift! I also would like to see cultural diversity with the staff !!! I always find it weird when the staff is ALL completely the SAME NATIONALITY!!!!
