We were passing through on a road trip, and we only stayed one night, but I wish I had longer to stay in the area. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Our arrival was a little later than we thought we would be due to bad weather. They left the key in the room for us, which was very nice and convenient for checking in after 9pm. The room was clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable and the place has great character. Had a nice quiet morning sitting on the porch chairs outside the room which was a very nice way to start the morning before heading out on the road again.

I selected this hotel because the website said it was a 15 minute walk to the lake. When I arrived and asked the front desk staff about the path to the lake, she said there was no walking path and that the roads did not have sidewalks and were curvy. She said it was not safe to walk on the roads to the lake. When I called hotel.com’s customer service, they said it was “walk at your own risk.” The blinds on the windows were very cheap and let a lot of outside light in. There were bright lights outside near both windows, so the room was never really dark for sleeping. The bathroom shower did not have a light in it. The shower curtain was dark, so it didn’t let the light from the bathroom into the shower area. Would not stay here again.

Cute Perfect Little Cabin for our stay.

The room was perfect for what we needed. We were in town for Murray State Family weekend, and there were no hotels available in Murray. This was only a 20 minute drive away. It’s close to Kentucky Lake. We drove through the Bison and Elk Prairie. The motel is older but it’s been renovated and is very clean. We loved having the kitchen to be able to eat a couple meals there and save some money from eating out. We didn’t get to use the pool because it was too cool, but it was beautiful and clean.
