Diamond in the rough

We were just in town for the night for a family celebration, and came across this hotel as a place to stay close by to the event. It was the perfect location and served as a great place for our pets to travel with us as well. We found the complimentary breakfast to be a fantastic bonus to our stay and would stay there again under the same circumstances.

This is the only hotel in this area. That being said, it is a no frills place to lay your head for a good price. The bedding was clean and soft providing for a solid night of sleep. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as we would have liked, and the tub faucet leaked badly, vastly reducing the water pressure in the shower head. Also, this is a two story hotel without an elevator which could pose a problem for older folks. However the staff was all very nice and friendly.

This hotel offers affordable prices, with very good rating; I womdered. at first, I thought because it a bit far from Hwy Exit - wrong, my suite was older than me, did not had any renovations since, all foor carpets was kind of ripped and torn. Only the staff was friendly.

Rodent Feces

We booked this trip to visit with family that were also staying nearby at a resort. We planned on staying at the hotel with our 1 year old baby. We checked in around 9pm and staff at the desk was friendly, but one staff person came out from the back and was not pressed professionally - Did not have “Quality Inn” attire on and honestly was barely clothed. When we got up to the room, I put the baby down and started making her a travel pallet on the floor. There was a good chance she would end up in bed with us anyway, so I went to check the bed. The bed was made, white sheets, but there were balls on the top layer of bedding. Upon closer inspection, these “balls” were multiple pieces of rodent feces. I immediately picked up the baby, washed her hands and feet, and my husband went downstairs to complain and get a refund. The staff was understanding and non-argumentative, but since we booked through Hotels.com, the manager would have to call us the next day to start the refund. No big deal until they never called. My husband called them the next afternoon. The managers excuse was that she had been busy with over thirty check-outs that morning. When they started discussing the refund, the manager tried arguing that they sent house keeping up and they only found one piece of rodent feces - even if that was true, and it wasn’t, one piece is MORE than enough. Especially with a baby staying. For $300 for two nights, they should do a better job. No “Quality” here. Stay elsewhere.

Pleasantly surprised

Overall it was very pleasant. Staff was WONDERFUL. There were some basic stains on the carpet, ine of us thought the bed was too hard. They ran out of meat in the morning somewhat early but everthing else for breakfast was great. It was a last minute booking and we got a discount so we left pretty happy.

Clean room - Friendly Staff - Tornado Warning

My husband and I stayed for one night. The front desk ladies were super sweet for our later than normal check in. (11pm) The impending weather was worrisome and they did warn us it could get bad with tornadoes. Around 12:30am the local FD knocked on everyone’s doors to let us know that we were under a tornado warning and where to shelter if we heard the sirens later. We did hear the sirens but after looking at the weather map we deemed it safe. Check out is 11am so it was nice to sleep in. I probably will never go to that area again but if I did I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Great staff. Good breakfast. Property showing some wear, but upgrading seems to be in progress. Television was tough to navigate (two remotes and tuning services); i evidently pressed the wrong button during a program and lost that set up and couldn't go back. Very frustrating...
