The location is ideal to then enjoy other experiences such as go to Darmouth on the steam train and to visit Agatha Christie’s place in Greenway (only a 12 minute drive away). However, the hotel is in desperate need of a full renovation. The staff are amazing and they deserve to be well paid as they put their heart and soul into the business. They are all extremely friendly and make guests feel welcomed. I would highly recommend the hotel mostly because of them. Nevertheless, it was a very good experience.

We had a lovely stay but there were a couple of things that didn’t go unnoticed, the staff were very slow in the breakfast area with 2 of the mornings being made to wait an hour before we had even received our breakfast. We waited 40mins and we still hadn’t been asked if we wanted a tea or coffee so we did have to ask the staff a lot for the basic things which included asking for more of the buffet style food to be replenished as most mornings not everything was there to grab. The bed was very uncomfortable and definitely due a new mattress as I could feel the springs in my back and you heard them every time you slightly moved on the bed. On one of the days our room was missed on the room cleaning as when we returned in the evening our bedroom hadn’t been cleaned. Apart from this, the hotel is in a perfect location to the seaside and other towns nearby and we still had a lovely stay but definitely some points need to be changed :)

Lovely first stay after making a last minute booking with Hotels.com. Nice room overlooking garden, quiet and spacious. Lived the indoor and heated outdoor pool and fantastic views of the sea from the terrace

We really enjoyed staying at the Redcliff. It is a bit dated in the general areas but all very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a large quiet room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Had just 1 evening meal which was tasty. Walk into town along the beach took 10 - 15mins. Would stay there again if in the area.

Great 3* hotel right on sea front
Good 3 star hotel, we had a wonderful room very large with four beds and a massive corner bath. Only thing missing was biscuits to go with the tea and coffee. Breakfast was good not a buffet but waiter/waitress served.

i had a fantastic few days, hotel & staff are amazing, the facilities are great 👍the views are stunning and it’s right by the beach, the pools are both heated and clean, the room was very spacious, and clean, the double bed was a bit hard ,& the bathroom was huge & spotless, food was nice except the cooked breakfast! which wed give it only a 6 out of 10 … we will definitely come back and stay again it’s been lovely.

Amazing Hotel & Fantastic Stay
Fantastic Experience of such a beautiful hotel! Excellent food, really good accommodation with a memory foam mattress! Architecture is astounding, staff are very friendly and can’t believe it’s only a 3 star hotel! I would give it a 4 star plus and will definitely return every year! It’s a gem in a bucket of rocks!😁

Wonderful.hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent, would only comment that on first day as im unable to drink tea or coffee i asked for a hot chocolate, it was told no probelem , lovely ,but next day i was told id be charged as the bar needed to be opened to do it. I declined as I dont feel that was fair to be charged. No charge was made for the first one just feel.it should be an option. Id recommend anyone to stay here great value ,hope it doesnt change its a real gem we will do our best to return as wonderful value all round x
