Thee first room we were given was ground floor with a connecting door (locked) that reeked of cigarette smoke despite clear labelling as a non smoking room as were all rooms we saw. On notification to office we were given an upstairs room with no connecting door that was much better but still faintly smelled of stale smoke. Indeed it seemed most of the property did. Pillows in both rooms were quite lumpy as well as extra one given upon request. The experience was not pleasant but endurable for the 3 nights of the trip. The staff was accommodating and polite when we reached out but issues were not really in their control. This seems to be the less desirable Motel 6 in Palm Springs. Location was VERY convenient for restaurants and downtown activities.

My only problem was with noise. The grounds crew started work early one morning, before 8am, with movers and weed-eaters. Also, at about 6 one morning, another guest was yelling crazily, on and on for over an hour, my impression was that the staff was choosing not to intervene.!

Plumbing wasn’t working correctly, toilet wouldn’t flush, slowly just drained. Shower head wasn’t secured and leaked causing minor flooding, I had to tie a wash cloth to direct the water leakage.
