When my boyfriend said we should go on a quick vacation I said "YES!" and went ahead and asked him to book this place then proceeded to break the news I would be going alone cause that is how I vacation..duh! Ive been here for PINK CABANA Dinners in past but never stayed so I was super excited to treat myself for a getaway in 115 degree heat. LIZ, JOHN, ALLEN all a fabulous team. From the moment you enter through the large doors into the whimsical art deco paradise you are treating like an A lister until the second you leave. Rooms are A clean and decorated mid century modern with attention to every detail. I really loved the unlacquered brass ALL Over which as a designer I appreciate since maintenance is so high- but maintains design integrity of the mid century period. I was given a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival with a sweet card & beautiful glasses with frozen edible flowers to pour in. POOL Side service A POO SIDE and ROOM SERVICE A (breakfast was a hiccup that front desk resolved off tab) MINI bar is EXREMELY generous nested inside a beautiful banquet (photo posted) which includes anything you can imagine. 5 stars from beginning to end- remind me to thank my boyfriend for this trip that he did not participate in.

The room was in excellent shape and clean. The Pink Cabana room service was quick and the food excellent. It was better and far more reasonable than the large popular properties in Palm Springs.

We have stayed at the Sands 5 times in the last 3 years everytime being a 3-4 night stay. We love this property, it’s very clean , relaxing. The staff are attentive and always are nice. They have a beautiful restaurant on property the pink cabana that you can also use for poolside drinks. We checked in per usual actually pretty late for us about 8:30 pm after a long drive. Tired and just trying to get in our room , mind you we just stayed at Sands in june less then 2 months ago. We get to the paper signing like normal “ initial here , sign here” the front desk person says. Without even questioning or knowing because we just stayed here We sign. They give us a parking pass which was weird because we never got one of those before. So we get to our room maybe a few hours later I check my bank account to make sure everything had went through from the room payment. I see I got over charged. I text the front desk , call Expedia , they get it taken care of for me and reassure that I will be getting my funds back for the over charge. No problem. So I thought. Sands will say it’s not an over charge because it’s a new “ resort , WiFi , parking daily fee” now but they should really tell their guests and not expect people just to sign something. I’m always told everywhere I stay. Also for 3rd party bookings they need to be included in price like it states at checkout . $423.00 turned into $517.00 for a two night stay. Just be aware that these feel like hidden fees and be prepared.

Hotel Sands was a very cute hotel! Upon arrival they have music playing and it was definitely a vibe. I told the front desk we were VIP Gold and we didn’t get the free bottle of wine or a room upgrade. Which was definitely available it was 109 degrees and many open rooms I’m pretty sure we got one of only a few rooms without a balcony or patio which was a total bummer as we saw the other rooms weren’t occupied. The reason we chose this hotel was because of the VIP perks that were listed. Other than that our room was also cute and has music playing as we walked in. It had the best mini bar but definitely had the $$ to go with it. Coffee was available in the morning by the pool which was nice and I didn’t know until we left that there l were a few grab and go breakfast snacks in the lobby. The hotel was clean and beautiful with lots of parking!

We didn’t use any of the amenities but were charged for them. Also, there is no place to eat food bought from off premises. The staff is wonderful!
