Very chill and great style

I booked a last minute trip and really wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole place is really well thought out. The decor is really well curated. Things like great pillows and large Nespresso machines make such a big difference in a room. A few other nice things: -We brought our dog and they had great little welcome bags for him. -My wife’s been looking for a good tapas bar in LA without much success, but theirs is great. The restaurant is worth a visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel. - Really well stocked snacks and drinks in the rooms bar. - With the hotel being older ( while its renovations are great) there’s way more character to it than some other places we’ve been. It kind of legitimizes it’s atmosphere.

We’ve always wanted to stay at the Villa Royale after we stumbled upon the hotel when we visited their restaurant Del Rey a couple years ago. We had the opportunity to stay here last weekend and had the best weekend ever. We were greeted with friendly faces, complementary drinks, and a room upgrade, which was an amazing way to kick of a birthday weekend. We loved our spacious room and the fact that the hotel itself was adults. Only the poolside drinks and food were awesome and a great addition to have while we were relaxing. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Developed in 1947, it has a elegant feel while still being modern in design and facilities. A nice pool surrounded by the rooms and a second quieter pool and hot tub (very hot!) in the grounds. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite and efficient. Had a great stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Dreamy, romantic vibes

An absolutely perfect spot for a dreamy couples getaway. One of the loveliest vibes I’ve ever experienced. Beautiful, cozy property so well decorated and kept. Quiet, child free, and so easy to connect. Great location in Palm Springs, but honestly we never left the property. We loved the heat and how cooling the pool was, the dinner at Del Rey was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options for a continental breakfast. Lots of amenities to make the stay so comfortable. We will absolutely be coming back. Just the most perfect little hotel ever.

We had such a great stay at Villa Royale! Aldo at guest services and Carlos at the bar were absolutely amazing they treated us so well and made the trip extra special. It was my birthday, and they went out of their way to be welcoming and accommodating. The hotel was also wonderful for our pup, which made the experience even better. Honestly, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled and stayed at places all over the world. Highly recommend Villa Royale if you’re looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Palm Springs.

Stay at the hotel, but don't eat at the restaura!

Got it — here’s a casual, blunt version: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotel | ⭐️ Restaurant The hotel was excellent — clean rooms, comfy beds, and friendly staff. Honestly, it was one of the better hotel stays we have had. This is our eighth time staying at Villa Royal in over six years. The restaurant, though? Awful. The service was rude and slow, and the food tasted like it came out of a freezer. It's definitely not worth the money. The Chef should be fired. The food is the worst ever! Stay at the hotel, but do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.
