I was very disappointed in this hotel. I have a level of expectation for a Best Western hotel, and this ain't it! I didn't realize when booking that all rooms are outside, and you have to walk up poorly lit stairs to get to your room. The lobby and room itself smelled so strongly of gross disinfectant, yet still seemed dirty. I immediately got a headache. The bedspead on the bed had an obvious cigarette burn in it. The door didn't close itself all the way unless pushed on until you heard a click. As a female traveling alone, I felt very unsafe. One bonus was that the front desk was friendly and kind, and I believe when she saw that I was alone, she upgraded my room so that at least I was not at the back of the hotel. Still - it felt dirty and unsafe. I looked for security cameras in stairwell and walkway and didn't see any. Also, be sure to bring a blanket because the linens are paper-thin. Only had a sheet and very thin (damaged) bedspread. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this place is NOT your typical BW. Solo travelers - spend more $$ and choose a safer option! Thank you to the kind front desk agent though, who clearly tried to get me the safest room possible.

There was nowhere to park close to our room, when checking they did not tell us that and they knew we were from out of town. It said they had a pool so I took my bathing suit, only had an outdoor pool that looked so disgusting. We got accused of smoking in the room so they could charge us extra, we had the “do not disturb “ sign on door and they went into our room anyway. Then when I complained about them going into our room anyways they took my “do not disturb” sign off the door handle and placed it on the ground RIGHT in front of our room. Very unprofessional behavior!!! There was trash all over the parking lot. We were so ready to get out of there. Very weird vibe there. And I kept hearing a camera clicking noise. About 3 different times and the tv was off so it couldn’t have been that. I’ve been to plenty “non smoking” rooms and they all normally smell faintly of smoke but this is the first time it’s ever been blamed on us. We were barely at the room this trip. We just had to come to let my husband sign some paperwork and were very busy doing that the whole one day we were there. We checked in about 11pm-12am as we had to drive all the way from Tennessee. So we had to get up early the next morning to go handle some business and didn’t get back to the room until about 5pm. My husband had to change the tensioner pulley on our equinox so we weren’t in the room until about 9-10pm to go to sleep. Will NEVER stay again if we ever have to go back there.
