We chose Bikini Beach Resort for the type room available. We chose the beachfront 3 queen room with kitchenette. The pictures showed a desk by the oceanfront window, but it was a square table with two chairs. The kitchen didn't have any pots/pans and only 2 forks, 1 knife and a couple spoons. The freezer didn't have an ice maker or ice trays although you could pay for ice on the bottom level of the hotel. The room didn't have a closet or hanging area (or iron/ironing board). The hotel is old and is clean, but definitely needs some TLC.

Exceptional Value

This is a cute little hotel right on the beach in panama city. The location it is awesome, and the staff was outstanding. However, this property needs some tender loving care in regards to a lot of little things. I wouldn't let that stop you from staying ther, because the hotel rates are awesome for the location. If you're looking 45 star amenities, this is not the place. If you're looking for a nice hotel where you can walk out to the beach, pretty much from your room, I think you would enjoy staying here.

The air conditioner didn’t work upon arrival. However, the maintenance man came and fixed it immediately. The hotel is old. Rooms are dated. Had a coffee maker but no cups or condiments. Bed was clean. It’s okay to stay at on a low budget or in a pinch but not for a nice holiday.

False advertising!!! Retro means they renovated in 1993 and slapped some paint on this pig in the last 10 years. We walked into our room of rusty appliances, painted over mold, stained carpet and walls, nonworking A/C, and questionably safe elevator which someone had just smoked weed in. We were afraid to sit down for fear of catching something or being bit. The view of the coast was pretty but muffled by the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. We asked for a refund and were denied. It is a scam to lure you in and take your money. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Bugs and gnats in room one room with stove and the other room without stove the refrigerator, tv, and lights did not work nor did they switch us to better rooms! Customer service was excellent from staff, but manager Lauren was not accommodating and lacked customer service. Elevator was terribly SLOW!! I only stayed because of beach access and bar on site other than that be prepared to get bit up by the gnats..

It was a good stay in the beach. Pool was good and heated for kids. The washer and dryer work great. Our Tv remote would not work and could not get the Tv to cooperate but we brought back up entertainment just in case. Good spot to get away for a few days.

Got a room with a kitchenette, only the kitchen did not come equipped with basics like bowls, silverware, or pots and pans. Doors would not latch shut. Generally the room was not in good condition and the layout was awkward. The only positive I can really give is the beautiful ocean view.

What is shown online for this place is completely different than what you get. Rooms look NOTHING like the photos. Our bed on arrival was full of sand so we had to sleep in sand while staying there. The room was flat out terrible. On night two at 1:40am I called front desk because someone beside us had a stand up speaker outside our window full volume and was screaming and going crazy. Front desk told me they’d handle it. I let an hour pass because nothing was done and had to call the police who came out. No parking spots available on site. There’s just a few you may can luckily snag. We had to park across the street that has no direct crosswalk so be prepared to walk a lot with staying here also. Pool did feel nice being heated but was also full of leaves and black stuff. Everything was just so dirty, SO not as described, and very unsafe I would never bring children here. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I thought I’d be fine here also being we wouldn’t be here but just to sleep but even that just ruined my trip. Never again.
