Breakfast was great and varied, refreshed regularly but very busy early morning. Staff was really nice and very helpful really recommend this place.

The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast is good, the staff is good. Although in order to get a good night of sleep people need to turn the AC on due to a very muggy weather and street noise. I don’t understand why the hotel only give the guests a cool flat sheet. I’ve called and asked for an extra sheet or a blanket twice and even went downstairs to check if the sheet/blanket would ever arrive. I’ve waited until almost 1:00am, nobody ever brought a sheet or blanket. I ended up sleeping on my clothes and took a sleeping pill. Luckily it was only one night, I could manage that.

This is the first hotel review I have ever written because I have never been as disappointed as I was with Hotel Villa Mayor Charme Fortaleza. The information and photos available online do not accurately represent the property we experienced. The rooms were extremely dated, with worn-out furniture of very poor quality. The cleanliness was unacceptable. There were stains on the walls throughout the rooms, and the overall condition made the hotel feel neglected. I am allergic to mold and dust, and within minutes of entering the room my eyes began to itch. We had booked two rooms, and the second room also had visible mold and stains on the walls. It was immediately clear that this was not an isolated issue. We specifically chose this hotel over a larger hotel chain because the photos and descriptions suggested a charming boutique property. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. We had booked a 14-night stay but were unable to spend even a single night there. The hotel showed us other available rooms, but they were in essentially the same condition. We were told that some rooms are being renovated, but despite the significant difference in quality, we were not offered one of the upgraded rooms. We had no choice but to leave and find another hotel. We are now requesting a full refund because the accommodations we were provided did not match the quality, condition, or expectations created by the hotel’s online listing. Clean room, good staff, great breakfast, spoke english, family friendly. Free early check-in. Good location. Beach access.
