The area was great, tons of shops, close to the Opera house. However, we ended up having to change rooms due to an abundance of ants. But the staff was super helpful in making the switch.

Location location
Location location. Close to the opera and close to place vendome amd to the Louvre and la Concorde . All walkable in 10 minutes. Comfortable little hotel. Receptionists all very friendly there the 24 hours.

Convenient. Let's be honest, Paris is not quiet! We only saw 2 homeless people in our 3 night stay, laying outside on the curb. The facilities were very clean and quaint. You will need to use your door key to operate the electricity!

The staff is excellent & has a nice touch in the lobby where you can purchase wine & snacks. The hotel is close to the underground & about a 20 minute walk to the Lourve.

Perfect location in the Opera area near great bakeries, cafes, and brasseries. Staff was very nice and small lobby area has a lot of room for sitting and storing baggage before check in. Rooms and elevator were a big small but overall I enjoyed our experience there and would stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Paris. It was clean and the staff were helpful. As with most hotels in Paris, the room was compact. Our toilet door had come off the sliding tracks so there was some discomfort with privacy.

Decent enough for a budget hotel
Decent stay, room was very small but reasonably comfortable. Table lamp had tape wrapped around to secure the bulb socket to the stand but otherwise worked. The staff however was extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location, very walkable to sights and metro. Staff was wonderful. Property is a little shabby and threadbare. We did have comfortable beds but very plain. Bathrooms old. Again though good location by Opéra and Louvre and Metro. Good shopping and dining nearby.

The staff at Hotel Gaillon Opera were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the family size room we stayed in was nice. To note for families looking at this option, the kids’ beds were more like cots than sturdy beds — worked okay for a couple of nights, then kids were uncomfortable. The hotel was generally clean, although the family / attic room did have an ant situation. The hotel staff did address the ants when requested. I would be cautious of booking the room if you plan to have snacks and/or eat any meals in the room.

The hotel was continently located near restaurants, shopping, and main attractions. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful especially Jeff. However, the rooms were not nearly as nice as the pictures. The pillows and towels were flat. The bathtub/shower was slippery without a bath mat causing us to slip and fall. The bathtub was also quite higher than usual making it difficult to balance while entering the bathtub/shower.

Room is wayyyyy too small. Bed is not comfortable and too small for 2 people. Pillows are AWFUL. I had a terrible sleep for 5 nights. Only good thing about hotel was location. Wifi kept dropping while in the room. Maids cleaned the room very late in the day. When we arrived, there weren't even towels in the room. Toilet paper is rough. Most people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

This is a good hotel to stay if you are looking to be in a central location in Paris without paying an extravagant amount. It is centrally located on a quiet street just off the busy avenue de l’Opera situated between the Palais Garnier and the Louvre. We stayed in a large room with a king bed. The room was simple and not quite as nice as pictured. We are accustomed to 4 star level cleanliness and amenities so we were a little disappointed, however, this is a 3 star hotel and in my opinion it meets that standard. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated the gentleman who went above and beyond to help us plan our transportation to Versailles!
