While the hotel had great reviews, it was disappointing in several respects: when we first arrived there was only one bath towel in the room for two. We asked for a bath towel and were told one would be brought up. It never came. We had to go down to the lobby to request it a second time and then helped the staff member reach the towels on a high shelf in the linen closet. The shower gel container in the shower didn't contain any body wash. The general cleanliness of the room seemed like a lot of cleaning details had been missed. There was some gunk in the bathtub, some hairballs on the floor. Another guest mentioned to us that there was a fly/bug problem in the basement cafe, so we didn't eat there. We paid for the rooms through expedia in advance, and when we arrived we had to pay an additional small city tax, which was no problem, but then later in the day the desk clerk insisted that we had not yet paid the tax and was only convinced when we produced the receipt, which he then proceeded to photocopy. It seemed like our comfort and convenience was the lowest priority. Would not recommend.
