The Grand Hotel Lafayette is tucked in a little street right off Lafayette. The area is bustling with pedestrians and a never ending selection of eating options, yet is very quiet. Rooms are small but had all the amenities we needed; bath products including bath robes etc. and was very clean. Staff were very helpful and cafe off the lobby was available for breakfast but we went to one of the many nearby cafes for the full Paris experience. Would recommend as a well priced option in an excellent location.

This hotel is listed as a four-star. By Canadian/North American standards it would never have greater than a three-star status. Parts of the room were in disrepair (chips in the toilet bowl and seat, large dings in the walls). The air conditioning system did not work very well but to their credit, a staff member came to fix it and set it to our comfort. The location of the hotel is well-situated, just off the busy streets and close to two different subway lines. Be aware that you can hear the subway until around midnight and when it starts again around five in the morning.

This hotel was close to several areas of interest considering how vast Paris is. The metro is a few minutes away by foot. The area is safe and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I was very comfortable and enjoyed this location.

The rooms are so tiny that we weren’t able to open up our luggage! We had to open one in the bathroom and the other one we couldn’t open. The sink and the toilet aren’t even in one room it’s two separate rooms

Property was located well and was clean but having the bathroom in the room was not something we expected. Please be aware when booking because the only thing that separates the room and the shower cabin is a see through curtain.

Staff was absolutely lovely. Very welcoming and engaging and quick to do what is needed without unnecessary time wasting. The hotel is in a fantastic location - if you enjoy walking, it’s the best place to start from for an all around the city exploration: 12’ away from Gallerie Lafayette, 30’ away from the Jardin de Tuileries, 35’ way from Monmartre. A Thai restaurant is literally next door - amazing food and service. Supermarket & boulangerie also around the corner. Would be ideal if the room had a fridge. Recommended 100%.
