We really wanted to like this hotel but unfortunately it was the worst hotel of our trip. This was the only hotel we stayed at that did not have a 24/7 desk. We were not given instructions on how to access our room past 11pm so we had to figure that out on our own. Then, our very first night, the air conditioner broke completely. When we called the manager using the number listed, he seemed annoyed. He came and looked at it and basically said there was nothing he could do and gave us a fan to use that night and said they’d fix it the next day. That night it was over 80°F in the room and was absolutely miserable. We barely slept the entire night and were hot and exhausted the next day. He didn’t offer to reimburse us for the night or even part of our stay. He gave us a free shuttle to the port and that was it (which was shared with another couple who actually were the ones who paid for it). Obviously there was not much they could’ve done about the air conditioning being broken but I feel like we should have received some sort of refund or partial refund for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the hospitality is lacking in this hotel and for the price we paid, I would recommend staying elsewhere. For almost $400 a night - a broken air conditioner is unacceptable.
