Unfortunately we had a serious situation in our room 219first thing in the morning on 5/17. The sliding door to the bathroom jammed when my husband closed it. He was not able to open it no matter what he or both of us did!!. He was locked in the bathroom!! “Felt like a prisoner!” When I called the front desk, the woman who answered the phone laughed. It was no laughing matter! She sent up a gentleman who brought 2 screw drivers and an adjustable wrench!! They were useless. He came back with a piece of plywood to lift the door, which did allow it to be freed and the door opened. Thank God! It was a scary 30 minutes at 7:00 in the morning! Besides that, the pressure in the shower was so low that it took forever to rinse out the shampoo from my hair. My husband had a similar experience but felt that the shower stream was totally poor for the entire shower experience. The positive was the mattress was comfortable and the breakfast had enough variety with adequate seating. All in all, I’m not sure we’d ever choose to stay at this property again when visiting family despite it being convenient to proximity of our family.

Our stay in East Hanover NJ

There was hair from both ends of the body left behind in the bathroom. We used 2 different romotes for the tv and both did not work properly. Everything else about our stay was great

Poor Stay

I am a loyal Hilton and Home2 guest and have always appreciated the value and courtesy offered by Home2. This visit was disappointing. I felt like an unwelcome refugee at the hotel. First, the kitchenette sink drained slowly, and the garbage disposal was disconnected. I booked through a third-party site, Hotels.com, and confirmed my two-night stay. I left the hotel on the first morning and returned after a long, busy day, only to find that my clothes had been removed from the closet, put into clear plastic bags, and sent to the baggage hold area. The front desk clerk's excuse was that there had been an error in the booking, and I was unreachable. I received a call during the day from an unrecognizable number that didn't identify itself as Hilton or Home2. After retrieving my confirmation to prove the validity of my reservation, I was handed my crushed, bagged items to take back to the room. Unfortunately, no apologies were offered. This will be my last stay with your company. I recommend providing training for housekeeping leaders to check room preparation and offering customer recovery skills training for guest-facing representatives.
