very affordable and fantastic view. But very weak Internet (unusable) so I had to switch to my phone data. But again, the signal level in this hotel is weird. From 9:00amish to 9:00pmish, excellent 5G connection. But since late night, 5G is gone and reconnected it to good 5G next morning. So weird (maybe 5G transmitter person did it intentionally so that guests can take rest). And 1st day of my visit was the strike day in Italy. So limited bus operation (you need to take bus to go to Riomaggiore). So if you rent a car, this is a nice choice. Ah right, good breakfast at €8.00. Quite OK with me. Definitely rooms are much much nicer than in Riomaggiore compared to the price. Highly recommended for couple / family with rental car.

I had called the reception desk to ask for some ice, as I was really not feeling good and needed some cold water to cool myself down, as I think I was in the heat for too long. When I called the reception desk, I was told by Monia, to call up to the bar and that they would send me some ice. I called up to the bar and whoever answered the phone said they could not bring me any ice as it was too busy, and asked me if I could come up to the bar to get it. I explained that I wasn't feeling well and that I was not in the position to go up to the bar to get any ice. He said OK that he would send some ice. Within two minutes, he called me back and said that it was not possible for him to send me any ice and that I should call the reception desk or that I had to go up to get it. I then called the reception desk back and spoke to Monia again and she finally got somebody to bring me some ice. The disappointing part is that we spent almost $1000 per night to stay at this hotel, and they could not even bring me any ice on my first request. Back home in Canada even the hotels that just cost $300 will bring the ice right away on the first request. On checkout when I was asked by Monia, how her day was, I mentioned that the situation was quite disappointing. She just said "oh sorry, it was dinner time so the bar was busy." that is the worst excuse I've ever heard especially when we're paying $1000 a night. The breakfast staff and Eleanora were great though.

Stayed one night as a base for visiting Cinque Terre. Perfect location, 10 min walk to the station. Staff was welcoming and very helpful. Would stay again.

Location is perfect!

We lost one whole hour because they sent us to a different location. At the end, after a lot of insisting on our part, they gave us the address we booked but a different, much smaller room. 😡

We had a wonderful stay at Arpaiu – Odeyo Sas in Manarola. Our room was charming, clean, and minimalist, with a window overlooking the south side of the marina from high above the village. One of our favorite memories was sleeping with the window open and listening to the waves crash against the rocks below—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. Upstairs, there is a comfortable common area with Nespresso available 24/7 and an awesome outdoor deck with spectacular views of the cliffs and coastline. One important tip: pay close attention to the owner’s directions when arriving from the train tunnel! There is a much easier ramp leading up to the hotel. We saw other guests following Google Maps and struggling up the stairs with their luggage—not a fun way to arrive! Tatyana, the house staff, was wonderful. She prepared a delicious breakfast for us on our first morning and even took care of our dirty laundry for a very reasonable fee, which was especially appreciated while traveling. The location is also very convenient for quickly accessing the train and exploring the other Cinque Terre villages. Overall, Arpaiu was a wonderful and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Manarola.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and cannot recommend it enough!! Such a cute space with a view overlooking the sea. The room was stocked with cookies, coffee, and cold water upon our arrival. Rebecca was nice enough to get our room ready early, so we didn’t have to spend hours in town waiting. We loved it here and would definitely come again!! Thank you so much for everything.
