I liked the balcony room on the 5th floor. The room could do with a spring clean including the air filter in the bathroom. The bathroom is terribly small and the shower temperature erratic between hot and cold. Generally the staff were not friendly from check in to house keeping to checkout. The location is excellent with easy access to the river and free transport. I didn’t try the onsite restaurant as there are so many good options surrounding the hotel. I think it was fairly well priced for what you get.

We appreciated that what you saw on the website was what we got. ie - no lying photos. The breakfast situation was really good too. FOH staff day and evening shift were really friendly and great ambassadors for your hotel. We did not have any of these experiences at first Perth Hotel.

What I thought would be a nice, simple place for me and 3 kids to stay whilst seeing a game in Perth, turned out to be incredibly inconvenient. First, wasn't informed about the roadworks and it took 30 Minutes just to be able to be let into the street, yet was told they did have some prior notice to this. Bathroom was tiny and the kids nearly got stuck in there. Sofa bed was broken, so kids had to reluctantly either share a bed or sleep just on a couch (which isn't ideal for tweens)

The staff were amazing! They were very helpful with the parking, friendly and made every effort to make our stay comfortable :) The rooms are a little dated but I didn’t go for the decor :)

Good value for money on quieter side of Perth CBD
Good value for money - comfortable room, well kept and clean. Room is a bit stuffy on initial night - not resolved with air con but managed with open windows (no fly screen - this might be an issue in hotter weather). Appreciated the hotel's commitment to recycling, e.g. bottles. Good amenities - fridge had some issues, including the freezer section leaking water, but managed to keep refridgerated food cold; TV and air con worked without issues; cutlery in room very useful for travellers. Staff friendly and helpful. Other travellers in hotel may be loud at odd hours in the morning.

The staff lacked local knowledge, There was a strong chemical smell in the hallway and an unpleasant smell as you entered the room. A temporary cooking appliance was balancing on top of the old hot plates. The bathroom was extremely small. On the upside it was a good location.

Comfortable bed and slept well. Lovely people at reception but will think twice about staying here again. Every night for the 5 night stay I had to go to reception for house keeping supplies and on 2 nights my bed hadn’t been made, not happy for the price you pay.

A great sized room, I really enjoyed having the space as it made it really easy to relax with a sofa and kitchen, and the little balcony was a nice bonus. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. It's obviously an old building so definitely needs some updates in some areas like power outlets by the bed for example, maybe put in some USB port outlets if you're upgrading things) the bathroom is poky and difficult to navigate and cold when you get out of the shower, minor issues though. It does need a good deep clean .. I did de grime a few things before I settled in but all in all perfectly fine. Can't comment on breakfast/restaurant as I didn't use it.
