I like that it felt like a real hotel -with large readily accessible ground floor ammenites, bar restaurant etc. - and not just a block, full if rooms. Rooms were spacious with a Queen and single bed plus 2 comfy chairs, plus a desk, plus a rack for TWO suitcases (unheard of almost everywhere) plus a decent bathroom, plus a large balcony, with 3 chairs and side table. This is am old character Heritage hotel, but the rooms are NOT tired as some people claim, but nicely decorated. Best hotel of my 35 day trip by far and not the most expensive. With careful planning free parking can be had nearby, so no need for the 30 dollars a day hotel parking in nearby carpark. One minor gripe (a common one) needs better extractor fans in the bathroom.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over a number of years and unfortunately the standard of service and the condition of the hotel has reduced considerably. When we arrived the front desk greeting was particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming. Considerably overpriced and certainly not the usual Expedia VIP standard. Would not recommend.

I stayed at the hotel when it was first renovated and reopened in the mid 1980s. It may have been upgraded since then but it still has the mid-80s feel. Great for tourists who want to visit Fremantle and the beach.

When I initially arrived I was given one of the worst rooms. Right next to reception and heavy foot traffic, which I knew would have been an issue. I went to reception and advised how I felt, and they went above and beyond to secure me a quiet room which was much needed. Because of this customer service I definitely recommend. Yes it’s a little older, but good customer service is hard to come across. Location is also great.
