Great Venue, Great Location

We had a great time during out 3 night stay at The Esplanade, it is a beautiful building with lots of choice as far as spending time in the bars, restaurants or poolside. The room was stock standard, nothing over the top special, but the bed was very comfortable, it was very roomy. I liked the option to not have the room serviced in exchange for a credit on stay, what a great incentive and makes perfect sense. The bathroom shower floor looked like it needed a good scrub but other than that room was clean. I also liked the Chromecast option on the TV, this gave us the freedom to watch anything that we had access to on our phone, great idea. Location is brilliant and very close to everything.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times but we’re not impressed this time the pool area has declined a lot and has no atmosphere this is the second time we have been here and the pool bar is closed. You can order on your phone but it’s very limited selection. Location is very good rooms were comfortable and clean. Main bar in the hotel closed at 10 pm on a Saturday night which we thought was early - overall had a nice stay but did not think it was worth the price.

Complete rip off! Don’t know waste your money

The day we arrived, the hotel was hosting a big conference for the mining industry. We dropped our bags in the room and headed out for dinner. The first issue was the about of black mould in the bathroom but we had dinner plans so we dropped our bags and left. When we returned around 10pm, the hotel was still very busy and noisy with the conference guests. We went to bed and laid awake as the air con wasn’t working and the toilet was running all night. Overall, a very disappointing stay given the cost of the room. Only when we woke up we noticed urine stains on the bed too! Yuck! When I went to reception to let them know, they offered a free bottle of water…

Disappointed

A bit disappointed with our stay. The hotel really needs a renovation in all areas. Our room desperately needed a renovation in the bathroom and seemed very run down and a bit shabby in places. On a good note the barista in the breakfast area makes excellent coffee! The pool area is nice and the hotel is situated in a perfect postition for the main area if Fremantle. Be wise when it comes to parking don't necessarily use the car park the hotel recomends at $30 a night unless you don't plan to use your car. Like us we were out all day and found off street parking much cheaper option.

The room was not great (poor light, bathroom floor was easily flooded as the drain was far away from the shower and on the other side of the toilet for some reason). There were other issues such as a leak from the ceiling but that was resolved quickly, which was appreciated
