I’ve been staying at this hotel a couple of times a year for a few years now as my mother lives in the area it’s convenient and the Kelsey‘s next-door serves as a bar and a restaurant. unfortunately the hotel is really in need of a refresh. It’s starting to look quite shabby carpets should probably have been changed a couple of years ago, etc.. Staff is excellent and friendly. Everything seems to be well cleaned; again it’s looking tired.

This is a great hotel. The staff at the front desk were superb and very accommodating. The room was a nice size and very clean. Two minor criticisms: the toilet didn't work that great; and they use disposable plates and cups and cutllery at breakfast. Come on! Use proper dishes and utensils!

There was a barking dog in the room across the hall. There was a woman sitting and smoking on the narrow exterior stairway making it almost impossible to access the building from the parking lot. The electrical outlets were all loose on the walls. The bed was comfortable.

This hotel is situated some distance from the downtown core. It isn't easy to walk anywhere, especially since the street is a high volume high speed traffic route. That said, the hotel is clean and well-appointed. Staff is friendly and fully competent. Breakfast included was more than adequate. My small criticism of the room is that the machines (HVAC & fridge) were a bit noisy. Not significantly disruptive, but overly apparent. And I wish there were an actual glass or ceramic cup in the room rather than paper cups. I'll probably visit again. although it's a bit far from town.

I REALLY wish hotels would group hockey teams on the same floor or block of rooms. And remind families that hallways are really noisy so maybe don’t yell your way out of your rooms in the morning. But that’s a parenting issue. The hotel staff responded promptly when I called down about a football game happening in the parking lot at midnight under our window, so that was nice. Did not get a good night’s sleep at all but not sure that’s the hotel’s fault.

Unfortunately, it was quite busy when I booked in for one night. There was a bunch of young kids playing tag till about 9 pm through the hallways on and off yelling and screaming. Otherwise, the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff very friendly and polite.
