Location is ideal. Room and bathroom are small but efficient. Good value for price. Didn’t like that hotel sent me an email with an opportunity to upgrade to a higher category room for a price. I took it. It turns out all the rooms are the same size and I paid extra for a king rather than a queen size bed. This is misleading and just a way to get guest to pay higher than the Expedia rate.

Comfortable Stay

Great Location. Short walk to the subway to catch a Mets game. Lobby is on the second floor which I thought was interesting. While the building is old, it is well maintained. I liked the free toiletries available stocked in closets on each floor and there was free purified water and water bottles on each floor. Excellent water pressure in the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Many good restaurants close by.

Dead bugs and hair in our bed

Arrived at 5 pm to be told our room wasn’t ready, had to wait another hour even though it was well past check in time. Then, we found actual dead bugs on the bed along with other people’s hair. Also toe nail clippings on the floor. There was one person working the desk and she was actually trying to help the most she could, but all we really were offered was for them to clean the room again. Wouldn’t recommend. Plenty of other hotels with the same rate and better quality.

They put my daughter and In a room right next to the elevator shaft which was not very pleasant due to the constant loud hum. Note, the lobby is on floor two. Which means every single person in the entire hotel enters and exits via these elevators. The room itself was not bad. Huge window and ceilings. The bathroom was so tight that the door was the size of a small hallway closet. My larger friend with broad shoulders couldn’t fit through the door unless he turned sideways. The lobby was a little Loud too.
