It was nice. But one of the desk attendants attempted to insist we had already received cookies when we did not. Instead of hearing and listening to us, she imposed her own belief or skewed opinion, as if two middle-aged grown men would come up to her at the desk and lie about whether they received cookies. I didn't like this kind of 'implicit bias'. Her response should have been more like, sorry about that, we must have been out of cookies when you checked in, come back at this time, and I will be happy to get you cookies. I'm not too fond of chocolate chip cookies. Since my colleague told me about the cookies, I just thought it would be 'equitable' and 'equal' treatment for us to receive them as well. And you should offer oatmeal cookies as well. Not everyone likes chocolate chips! Finally, as an African American, I am very sensitive about the way I am treated as a customer in comparison to other customers being treated as 'normal' and 'legitimate.' In these kinds of assumptive errors, I was nicer than I usually am, just so you know.

Reserved a king size bed and was given a double bed instead. Upon entry the light switch didn’t work, and the bathroom appeared to be used recently. Dirty Q Tips found on floor near garbage can. Door to get in the bldg was inoperable also when I was trying to check in. Staff was friendly however.

I had requested a room that was handicapped accessible and requested that the room be close to the elevator. The room was near the elevator, but they had no chair or board to place in the tub for handicap accessibility guests. In addition, they had no luggage cart to carry bags to the room. No wake up call service, no courtesy breakfast and no food service; they were giving out cookies but did not help matters when you have 4-5 hour wait time to get into your room.

Not a "bad" hotel, but by far the worst Doubletree I've ever stayed at, as the building was simply not in great shape, particularly the room. For the cost and considering the brand, I expected better as I generally have had fabulous experiences with Doubletrees. Given the proliferation of hotels in the area, one can likely either get far better by paying a little more or get similar quality while paying far less. No complaints of the staff who were courteous.

Check in staff was marginal. Room had broken closet door and the moulding on the outside looked like it had been crashed into. The room had a sour smell. The pool had three women playing their own music very loudly without concern for others. Good at the onsite sports bar was terrible as was the service.
