I did think that the area to the "right" of the property was not that ideal place to walk. If you head towards the Ritz Carlton, it is much nicer.

The Element is right in the heart of Philadelphia and easily walkable to many places. The breakfast is amazing and the wine and cheese happy hour Monday through Thursday was nice. No restaurant on site. It is in the downtown so you will see homeless people but the hotel is very safe and comfortable. The full fridge was especially nice.

The woman at the frint desk was polite and helpful. The room was nice and I liked the breakfast and convenience of water filter in the room. This hotel was in a perfect location for public transportation. The water power in the shower was a little low for my liking. Great stay overall.

This is a great location. Walkable to shops and restaurants and Love Park, Art museum, and Reading Terminal Market. Our room was spacious and the kitchenette with regular size fridge and sink is really nice for extended stays. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean however my room had a sewage smell when you first enter (I think I read this on another review). I sprayed and lit a candle and since I was there one night declined the offer to switch rooms. I did notify the front desk. The valet process was a bit confusing. The staff I encountered when I drove up didn't appear welcoming which made me want to reconsidering staying the evening. The morning valet staff when I left was a little more welcoming. I did like Dolce Italian restaurant. I probably wouldn't return back to Element.
