There was no fridge in the room. I got a coupon to order from the Italian restaurant but they would not honor it because I wanted to take my food to my room. 😏 I had a long trip there and was not appropriately dressed to sit down in a restaurant.

Nicest place I’ve stayed in a long time!

I cannot wait to go back! First, parking is right next to the hotel. Second, you get an actual key on a cool gold plated key ring. The rooms are so unique. The bathroom is wonderful! The tiny balcony is adorable! Super clean! In waking distance of historic Philly, all great restaurants, and bars. Quick Uber ride to all the Philly sports. Will go there again!

Loved this hotel. Spacious and charmingly decorated. Restaurant in the hotel was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Couldn’t decide so I got the scallops and then eggplant parmigiana. Wow! Outstanding!! The only thing I wish is that they had blackout curtains over the window. There were beautiful shutters on my window, but the hallway light was a spotlight outside of that window all night, throwing a lot of light into the room. I would not hesitate to stay here again. And hope to be back for another meal!

The room was as described, and comfortable. The Old City area is very noisy, and the hotel is right next to the highway. The coffee bar in the morning is a joke, so we had to walk to get our tea and coffee. The hotel employees were very kind and considerate except in the restaurant where the server was shocked my partner and I only wanted to share appetizers and not have any wine or alcoholic beverages.

Great and not so great

Wierdly mixed on Penn View... FIrst the negatives. There is NO parking. None. There are pay lots nearby but are not affiliated in any way. The hotel is 100% not accessible. Neutral- no breakfast, but there is free coffee and funky little muffins. There’s also a Italian restaurant on ground floor, we didn’t try it but the menu looked interesting. Didn’t notice if it was busy or not. Good- the rooms were cute and felt like nice mix between modern and 18th century. The location is outstanding, so close to so many landmarks and tourist destinations and lots a fun places to eat.

Was so difficult to find our way around and find parking. Front clerk Rasha made the whole experience so much better. She was so understanding of our frustration and friendly and accommodating. SO glad she was working when we came in! Thank you Rasha!

I’ll list the positives first. The bed was comfy, the shower was good, room was clean and the location is great if you are visiting the historic areas of Philly. We also enjoyed the happy hour at Panorama each day, although we weren’t real impressed with the portion sizes of the meal we had one night. As far as the negatives, our TV never worked and when the front desk sent someone up to fix it, he couldn’t get it to work either. As a tea drinker, there is only coffee in the lobby each day. Hot water would have been appreciated. We never had cold water from our faucet in the bathroom, so had to brush our teeth with warm water. Very few outlets in the room for charging, and although mine was plugged into one, it never charged my phone. No coffee pot in the room, no fan in bathroom, and a tiny tiny closet. Lastly, our total charge was $30 more than our Expedia quote, due to added taxes that I wish Expedia would have included. Overall, it is a quaint old hotel, so don’t expect too much. I doubt we would stay there again.
