I pulled in after driving 3 hours from Long island in a torrential downpour. We were soaked just walking from parking to the lobby. It was 1:30 AM.
After a brief wait, the desk staff asked if we "needed" the double room. That was what I paid for. My teen daughter and I don't like sharing a bed. I said we would appreciate it and it's what I paid for. She rolled her eyes. I look like a drowned rat. Don't F with me.
The room was great, beds comfortable, plenty of chargers and good showers. This is mostly what I look for.
Breakfast was $18 and honestly, what we get for free at Hampton Inn, La Quinta, Etc. There was a sign to order pancakes so my daughter did and it took forever and they were coated in too much powdered sugar for her to eat.
I'm literally NOT a Karen. When we go away I recognize we are grateful to be in a hotel and enjoy these things. But the $18 breakfast is what Hampton Inn offers free. (And I've had paid Hilton breakfasts and they are worth paying for!)
My daughter said the pool was quite warm but someone had pooped in the hot tub so it was out of service. For a park less than a mile from Sesame Place I'm not surprised but kids shouldn't be in hot tubs.
If you want to be close to Sesame this is a good choice but get breakfast off-site and please -- swim diapers! LOL
