It'll work

The front door doesn't really slide open all the time so you manually have to pull the doors apart. The room I was in didn't lock all the way - which I didn't realize until I was leaving to check out. The room was comfortable and had al the amentities I needed.

Notified no room they overbooked

There was no stay I got notified at 5 pm Friday 12/27/24 that the hotel overbooked and they didn’t have a room for us. Was out to dinner after my granddaughters basketball game which was the reason for us traveling and had my dinner with family interrupted numerous times over an hour to find us another hotel. Was very disappointed .

We weren't told until we arrived for check in that the pool was closed. Which unfortunately was the main reason we picked this hotel. The entire second floor smelled like there had just been a fish microwaving contest. We opened the pull out sofa bed and trash fell out. There was trash in the hallway in front of our room door next to a giant bleach(?) stain. There was a thunderstorm so the direct TV was constantly cutting out. Every chair in the room had tears in the fabric, the beds were clean but probably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. There were other guests running around the hallways knocking on people's doors, we got knocked 3 times between 9pm and 1am. Basically I would have been only slightly less disappointed if the room was $50 for the night instead of the $180 I spent.

We arrived to the hotel where we were told the pool was closed for renovations, I expressed it was one of the reasons I chose the hotel and was disappointed that I didn’t know ahead of time. I got told to email someone to maybe get some money back and I did. No one ever answered. Breakfast was lack luster, there were 4 of us staying in the room but they only ever gave us 3 towels. Housekeeping tried to open the door without knocking at one point

Pre covid, my family and I would stay here every time we came in to town. This is my first trip back since Covid and the property has seen better days. A pipe burst during our stay and no hot water was available Christmas Day. Unfortunate bad luck that no one can foresee but the fact that they didn’t try and make it right or comp anyone anything, a lot of people left. My family stayed because we’ve always preferred this place. That is until today, when we checked out, my daughter was charged an additional $480 for “guest services” that she never requested nor got. A dispute is being filed but the fact that they wouldn’t even hand me towels at the desk and insisted that they had to be brought to my room, I’m wondering how much I will be charged. As much as we used to love this place, I think we need to find a new hotel for when we come in to visit.

Being our 3rd extended stay over ten years, main reason for staying here is cost and free breakfast. Breakfast bar was less quality and selection than previous stays. Plumbing in the tub needs some update. Cost/stay has increased which is appropriate except for us senior's on fixed income. I had some difficulty understanding the foreign dialect mostly from desk associates. Ignored wake-up call!
