Convenient location centrally located at a healthy walking distance to some of the tourist sites. Across from the Townhall and Reading terminal, convention centre and Macy’s at easy access. Staff is very helpful. Quiet and clean hotel.

The check in and checkout process was quick and smooth. The staff were so nice. The hotel itself in this very old building was stunning and old world and yet the rooms updated and chic. The beds and bedding were super comfortable, but the pillows were too thick with no other options. The valet staff were also very nice. Will stay again!!

Pulled up and there was no one there to greet us. went inside and a group of staff was chatting at the desk. I got the luggage cart and started loading up my bags before anyone came out and offered to help. The room had a big coffee spill on the carpet which was not noticeable until I stepped on it with bare feet. The TV in the room did not work - no connection to anything. I connected my laptop so we could at least watch something. It was late in the evening and I was tired so I did not take the time to complain or ask for another room.

The Notary is an elegant, luxurious hotel, with interesting historical touches. The room was incredibly clean, linens were crisp and pressed. I also really enjoyed the layout of the bathroom as the sink and makeup area were separate from the shower room so 2 people could get ready at once and the mirror never fogged up. The products were also lovely and it's great when they have large sizes on the wall in the shower so you don't have to throw away hundreds of little plastic bottles. Overall a fantastic stay!
