Cool corner room was really shabby. Fridge was medium temp, cracks in sink, light switches had never been cleaned, blood on the side table. Good thing I had clorox wipes. Door to room opens into bathroom, so bellhop literally standing in your bathroom to drop bags. Can’t use bathroom discreetly in morning bc lights turn whole room on. My husband and I are in our 40s and used to open concepts but this was a stretch too far. Lobby packed at night bc of nigh club. You are never getting through to the front desk. Only staying here bc of Philly Film Fest across the street.

We were looking fiward to stay in the W Hotel in Chicago and experience the W comfort. However, a few hours before wer arrived, all of the group were downgraded to a the nearby Element hotel. Not only was this very short notice, but the hotel management was not offering a refund at first. Getting a 3.5* experience for a prepaid 5* stay was not what we had hoped for. I was the only person of the group that could stay in the W Hotel. With respect to the facility, I liked the style, the food at the restaurant and the spatious rooms with a great view. The hotel room was lacking a safe for valuables and the furniture showed some wear. Moreover, the nearby A/C was very noisy. For my experience alone, I would give a rating of 4. However, taking into account the rather poor handlingbof the group reservation I asding an average rating. I would expect a more proactive treatment if guest from such a pricy establishment.

Service in the bar was extremely slow, even when there were no other customers. The room was so loud, probably the loudest room i've ever stayed in with the AC sounding like an old washing machine. Even when i turned it off, I could hear the rooms next to mines so loud, turning on and off every 20 seconds. It made the stay very unenjoyable and I spoke to other guests who said the same. Other than that the hotel itself was nice.

Our stay at the W was very relaxing and hassle free. We did encounter a problem with dirty sheets ( there was a chocolate and it was smudged) we were too tired to call and get them changed but when we brought it to their attention Elaina was so helpful and resolved it for us no questions asked, customer service was amazing and made our experience better

Definitely do not recommend. They canceled my reservation even though I checked in with Expedia. Arrived and they said I needed to check in with Marriott and it was sold out. My entire team was there and the front desk was unempathetic. I had to stay with an employee. Otherwise, service was slow and failed to bring our extra pillows and blankets, lobby was unimpressive, and neighborhood felt unsafe. I am so disappointed.

When checking in the experience was not good! The attendant found it more important to stop and give guest checking in with someone else drinks and have a conversation while I waited. Additionally my parking was suppose to be included in my package and it is now on my credit card. The site says $60 but charged $75
