The stay was decent. Checking in was not travel friendly. Yes I got there early however I was told that there might not be any rooms. I had booked a week before my arrival and I had to sit outside and keep checking in when I can check in. As someone who came from out of town with no car it was inconvenient. I was willing to pay a fee to check in early. There were holes in the sheets for the bed. It was quiet and I was able to get some sleep in but it just was not a convenient stay for someone who was traveling out of their home state.
The stuff was rude. No shampoo/conditioner. No hot water, the sink hot water knob was broken off. There was a coffee pot but they had no coffee or cups.
The towels and bedding were very old and stained.

Not so great stay.
Old. Tv did not work. No cutains just blinds. And one broken and poorly taped. So anyone could have looked inside. Towels stained. Has kitchen but appliances too big for the space allowed for it so hard to get in it to use. A small fridge and microwave was all that was needed. Too big a fridge and microwave with full size stove but no sink except for in bathroom. Made no sense at all. After midnight wakened by upstairs people making alot of noise for next two hours. For the same price I have stayed at better hotels with clean towels and working tv, quiet nights and adequate mini fridge and microwave. And you could easily use them. Next time Im in Mesa AZ I will go to a better motel. I should have read previous reviews first as all recent ones had same complaints so despite management saying they fixed problems they have not.
Originally i found the rooms to be tidy only because they only had beds. No lamps, no phone, or clocks anywhere in the room. Window blinds were installed without care so you never felt private. I did have a tv that didnt work 2 days out of the 4 days scheduled. After some excuses why they cant fix or move my rooms they finally brought in a handyman, who brought a separate tv but this one had no volume, but made it seem better cuz at least i had subtitles. Do yourself a favor spend a few extra dollars to upgrade your staying experience. The owners were cheaper than i was trying to do in my choice in Motels.
Dirty. Was the worst place I have ever stayed in. Was during spring break and could not get another place to stay. Taps were falling off. Towels were thin and wore out. Smoke and fire alarms were not in place. Sheets were full of holes. Pool was full of sand and dirt.
The room was horrible. Looked like someone kicked in the door and there was a hole in the wall from the door handle. Door was bent from that incident and light was coming through. Not very clean. Floors were swept, but not moped. Microwave had a hole burned through the bottom. Was woken up 3 times by occupants being loud. Pictures tell the story.
Liked nothing, VERY dirty. The photos that are on Expedia are deceiving, lies......
The guy who checked me in, Jake, had no personality or customer service skills whatsoever. Jake and the general manager or young lady, I didn't catch her name, they were both yelling at each other and their Indian language for about 2 minutes, not good. The place was really really filthy and gross inside the room.!!!!
Fiest of all this room cost for $ 99 ×2 per night But then there were fees and taxes of another $28 making the room very expensive for how crappy that motel is!
Room was so terribly smelly I almost choked when I walked in. Room was very ugly with big white patches on purple walls all around inside. Heater cooler unit old and dirty im sure wouldn't work , I didnt want to touch it. Door to the bathroom was cracked on the bottom half and wouldn't even close! COCKROCHES in the dirty toilet, sink and running around the floor. Black Hair all over the sheets on the bed! Shades on the front window were so broken and split and the curtain so worn they wouldn't even close enough to not be able to see in clearly allowing absolutely NO Privacy. I immediately went to the office to talk to the guy there and asked him to come with me to the room and he refused. I asked him if he could show me a different room, after telling him how much it stank and dirty it was and he rudely told me he would not come to see the room nor exchange it and absolutely No refunds! I immediately left and went down the street and found another room and paid for second room after that manager showed it to me first. But now I don't trust Expedia to ever rent from again if they dont Vet the motels they sell first. I Dare the Top Dogs that work for Expedia to stay at this motel for even an hour!! Make that a Double Dare!! People do not ever stay at the American Executive Inn in Mesa AZ! I Want Refund!
