Property and location was great loved the free shuttle . The pools were beautiful along with the landscape . Did not like that the main pool was not heated so it was very chilly and the other pool was heated , but was not clean.

Older hotel

The staff was friendly but the hot tub didn’t work and the rooms are older and outdated. Also, we were overcharged on our final bill. This is not the best option in the Scottsdale area. The highlight was definitely the friendly handyman who fixed the refrigerator in our room and the front desk staff.

Hotel with great potential but we certain needs

This is a resort that has very high potential for being excellent. It IS, however, in the need of several improvements: The rooms are outdated and need updates, including new front doors and updated showers and baths. The gym is excellent and well-cared for, but the adjacent "spa" is incredibly dangerous with a slippery floor waiting for an accident to happen. What a shame if someone falls and breaks a limb or ends up suing this great hotel. The steam room was out of service and the sauna was never turned on. The nearby attendant was unable to help. Finally, the pools do not seem to be heated. Have stayed at the property twice now and both times the two pools were very cold.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree Paradise Valley! Having the Starbucks on-site was a great touch and never felt overcrowded. Breakfast was great, staff were wonderful, and pool was refreshing. Others mentioned the bathrooms being a bit outdated, which we would agree, but they were clean and got the job done.

Beautiful resort!

The room was large and spacious, beds were average. But all was very clean. The grounds and pool areas were absolutely beautiful! Options for dining which we did not use but had everything you need if you don’t want to leave the resort.
