Issue #1: A room with a king bed was booked, however, none were available during the time of check in, therefore we settled for a 2 queen room instead. The water in the bathroom sink and shower barely got warm and never reached a desired hot water temperature, even after letting it run for a few minutes. #Issue 2: There was construction happening in the adjacent rooms beginning as early as 6am. Being awaken to noises of banging hammers and power drilling throughout the morning was quite upsetting. Had I been made aware of the situation, I would have never booked that room. I then contacted the front desk for awareness and was told that there was another room available on the other side of the property that did not have construction ongoing. After cleaning the room and unpacking our belongings just the night before, I repacked our things to change to the new room. Issue #3: We received the keys to the new room located on the other side of the property, and once we stepped inside the room we noticed an extremely offensive odor. The only comparison that I could draw was of a scent of raw sewage, which immediately made us our stomachs turn. We left outside of the room and I headed back to the front desk and made the staff aware. I was then assigned to my third room, which was a much larger unit on a different floor. Issue #4: Once inside, I was relieved to finally have a pleasant smelling room but then we noticed that the carpets had several unsightly stains.

The staff is top notch. Wish I could give the hotel higher marks. The property is below Hilton’s standards and it needs updating in the common areas and landscaping. It is a stretch to call this hotel a resort.
