Excellent value but falls short on some details
Excellent value and location for a weeklong stay in Tempe. This unit is in a residential apartment building, so it "feels" like a unit from a "vacation rental site" I can't name here. Clear instructions for access and checkout. Spacious. Good hvac and smelled clean. But, cooking equipment very limited (eg no cutting board, only one cheap pan). Tub drains very slowly when showering, not sure if that is a building symptom or a cleaning issue. Unit was very clean except for a few important details. Long dark hairs all over the floor, bathroom trashcan smelled like you-know-what, and carpeting/rugs could use a refresh or cleaning. Clean sheets, but mattress cover was gross - needs replaced. Very quiet and comfortable, just a few details would make this a five-star place.

Great property with an outdoor terrace patio that offers beautiful views and fire pits. Would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect if you want to be in the action in downtown Tempe

Sonder at Mill is a great place to stay. Only negative experience I had was that the bed sheets had to be replaced due to stains, and it was not made right until the third replacement. However, it was easy to contact Sonder staff about this issue. In the future however, stains on the bed sheets are definitely something that should be thoroughly checked before it is delivered to the customer, especially when the same mistake is made three times in a row after having raised it as an issue.

The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and beautiful beaches. It felt like a true getaway, yet was close enough to all the attractions I wanted to visit.

We resreved a 2 bedroom houe for 4 for 1 night. So it would be convenient to work and also slepe well for a business trip. But without notification or any sort of communication, our resrevation got chnaged to 1 bedroom and even room # got chnaged. We wasted almsot 2 hours trying to contact someone from customer service, lock# was incorrect. Everythign & everythign went bad and we literally couldn't even work with all this hassle.

Sonder needs to make it more clear to guests BEFORE they book that this is not a traditional hotel. I feel like it used to be a college dormitory repurposed for a hotel. There is no physical staff at the location, and the name "Sonder" does not appear anywhere except for where the lockboxes are located in the garage where the key fobs are stored. It took me a long time to figure out that I was in the correct location (since there are no obvious signs), and then I could not figure out how to enter the property and the woman on the line could not help me at all. She could not verbally explain to me what I needed to do, she just kept me on hold. Luckily, I ran into a couple coming out who helped me because they had the same issue. The building has hotel guests but also renters, so it's quite isolated and without a hotel staff it's hard to ask questions if you need help. I ended up staying one night only and then booked another hotel for the rest of my stay and I'm glad I did. The concept is interesting, but communication needs to improve in order for it work because this set-up is not for everyone. Besides that, the apartment was clean and organized however, the thermostat screen was broken so I could not control my own AC and the water pressure was not great. It is unlikely I will be booking with Sonder again.

The thermostat was broken. The bathtub drain was plugged, which made shower and Gross. There was a flood in the hall. Other than those things it was a wonderful stay.

Single Key Fob is issue with multiple perople staying. Room was not cleaned and linens were stained. Room had wierd smell. What was worse is customer serive said they would fix issues and never really did.

Beautiful site on top of a Whole Foods which made getting groceries very easy. Simple fob pickup for access to parking and the building. Did run into a little trouble with the code to the unit not working, but luckily this Sonder has staff on staff most of the day. Loved the private pool on the 5th floor, felt like a private oasis. Close to ASU so lots of things to do around. Will be back if I'm ever in Tempe!

I never got an email from Sonder to get checked in. It took me 2 hours to finally get someone from Sonder to send me a check in email for the instructions. I tried calling Expedia’s customer service and I keep being told that there was nothing they could do but for me to reach out to Sonder. I finally searched on my own and finally found a number that got me to a live customer agent and he help me. Once I got the fobs I finely was able to get into my unit, also the TV would not connect to the WiFi. The unit needs more darker curtains and thicker noise barrier. I will never stay there again, my experiences with Expedia is sadly gone down hill again. I’ll deal with hotels directly.

Good location, okay property.
Only 1 elevator was operational. Tv in room did not provide local channels. Dishwasher had coffee ground in the bottom and face plate around buttons fell off and would not stay on.
