Very Good

Pros : Helpful staff. Water and cookies available to all in lobby. There’s a pool. There’s a shopping mall close.
Cons : The “family room” is minuscule. We were two and had just enough space for us and luggage. There is no way a 4 people family could fit in there with luggage. We booked a ride to Koh Phi Phi from the hotel, the driver was late and it took 3 tries to book it as the computer & app didn’t work.
Outstanding receptionist! Really helpful.
It was interested sleeping in a double bed bump bed but I was traveling with my friend and so it was ok.
Phi Phi Island tours available at the hostel through a kiosk but do some research as the tours can be deceiving. We were led to believe that the island tour included snorkeling and a multi island tour. In reality you just see a few island on the way to the Phi Phi Island and snorkeling is an additional cost.
Hostel itself was pretty sweet but no hot water....

Perfect location
friendly staff, clean hostel, good place to meet others and in a good location
Friendly hostel in a quiet area near to the Old Town. I stayed in the dormitory room in the 5th floor (be warned there is no elevator. Facilities are very basic - just a series of bunk beds, and there is no power or individuals lights by the bed which makes it difficult to charge your stuff, and means the main lighting is on most of the time.
Reception area is comfortable enough to relax in. There is a pool that is accessible from some rooms, but not all (and not the dorm) so check before you book if you want pool access
Good value for money though for the area. Would recommend
They had no record of my reservation and made me wait for 45 minutes without telling me what was going on.
They held onto my passport and mobile which stressed me out especially after travelling all day.
When I expressed that I was upset and worried they laughed at me. They didn't offer any food or drinks as advertised on their wall and websites.
There is also no access to a swimming pool. The toilets were a complete mess and I saw a rat in the kitchen.
They did not give me a refund but that is ok as I would have PAID to leave that place, stayed one night and was outta there.
The hostel is great! The place is sooo clean and the staff where the sweetest girls! They where very helpful in suggesting activities and things to see in the Old Town.
Beehive Hostel was dirty, my bed wasn't cleaned yet even though I had arrived in the evening. No windows in the room. I was on the third floor but the bathrooms and showers were on the first floor. They were disgusting!! The lockers were tiny, they were on the first floor so I had to run up and down the stairs every time I needed my things. Most of the staff didn't speak English, no one could help me make reservations or suggest places to go around town. The lounge area in the lobby was mainly hard benches, not comfortable at all! I tried talking to a couple of guests and the staff but no one would start a conversation, very unfriendly atmosphere!!
I spent about an hour at Beehive and then I left to find another hostel. I ended up at The Tint around the corner, it's a hotel so more expensive (less than $30/night US) but worth it!! I left Phuket after two days, not worth a visit.
BEST hostel ever is Eden Walking Street hostel in Chiang Mai, check it out!!!

Amazing staff and good location
This place has mixed feelings from me. The staff are excellent and so lovely, and upgraded us to a deluxe pool view room with the pool on our balcony which was amazing! The room floor was dirty when we arrived but when we complained they cleaned it up for us immediately. However the bathroom was nothing short of disgusting... Constantly damp and smelling awful, water leaking from pipes all over. Extract fan only came on with the light so left the light on all the time and the door closed which made things marginally better but not much, the stench was pungent.
Apart from that - which is possibly only a problem in the room I had - I recommend this hostel especially for the price and location. Rented a bike and explored the area and then the staff booked us a taxi + boat transfer to phi phi, 350 all in which was GREAT. Free small self serve breakfast in the lobby of toast and coffee - can't complain.
We only stayed one night, so I can't tell you too much about the area and what there is to do there. We were invited to join for free dinner cooked by the host, which apparently happens often. We had to decline, but it looked delicious. The girls working here are really nice and very helpful. Rooms are clean, bathroom is only in first level, didn't shower here so can't tell you how that was. I would recommend the place.
