Neither Expedia (where I booked) nor the front desk clerk told us the pool was closed. When I checked in, I said, “we booked this hotel for the pool”. He didn’t mention it was out. We four changed into swimming suits and went down to the pool which wasn’t available, only the hot tub. In the heat of summer, choosing a higher price for a pool was a major disappointment. We had searched and found a local water park several miles away. We also reserved the room as four, only two towels in the bathroom, two hand towels and washcloths by the sink. Won’t be going back and I do not recommend

Room was outdated. Pullout mattress had stains on it and no sheets when we arrived. Didn’t look like the hallways had been vacuumed ever. Run down hotel and maintenance was not a priority. Pool was out of service.

Worst stay ever! Do not stay here!

The floor was dirty every morning in the breakfast hall. The only reason they did clean it was by fourth day of us being there the same Cheerios and Fruit Loops were on the floor and I said something to the front desk person. There were sugar ants in our bathroom. There was only one towel and one washcloth offered in our bathroom at check-in. I was told that the swimming pool would be in service earlier in the week when we got there. It was not, there was a huge maintenance sign on the door instead. Breakfast was terrible and everything would not pass health code if there was an inspection. I had to always ask for bananas or cream cheese every morning since there were none replaced every morning for breakfast. The front office did not seem to care at all and blamed everything on the owners.

It got the job done, but cleanliness left something to be desired both inside and outside the room. Pros: comfortable bed, decent shower. Cons: the room floor clearing hadn't been vacuumed as I continually step on small chucks of "something" and the overall condition of the hotel did not warrant the price of the room Also, the front desk staffed seemed annoyed that I asked a couple of basic questions like where on the hotel map the room was and if there were any other entry doors closer to the room. Would not stay here again.

Very disappointing that the pool was out of order and a luke warm hot tube is not a substitute when you have children under 12. No signage for this issue at check in desk. Also do power strips for appliances meet SD electrical code? I assume its been many years since the governor actually stayed in this place.

Very overpriced for an old building and outdated rooms, all the “amenities” were closed and from what i gathered from one of the staff it’s always that way. No screens in the windows, the heating/AC what incredibly loud and kinda smelled when running.
