Nice rooms and pool. Maintenance crews took all the parking for landscaping work. Front desk was understaffed during “peak Checkin hours” as the only person working kept answering the phone instead of waiting on customers in the lobby waiting to check in and was frustrated with the phone ringing and kept telling people he would call them back because it was peak Checkin hours - like it was their fault for the time they called.

The hotel in general is okay. Breakfast buffet was good. Front end staff was rude as hell at check in. Few days later check out, I checked my account and the hotel put a charge thru for $5.44. We did T but or room charge anything. Reported as fraud to my bank.

Great gem

I wasn't expecting the Ramkota to be so nice. For the price in a small town I was expecting something mildly sketchy that was at best a dry place to sleep. I was actually very impressed. The staff is great. The entire place is clean and updated. The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing. The space is large enough that even with several groups and kids enjoying themselves in the pool it didn't feel crowded. Highly recommend the poolside rooms. They have some really cute affordable room service specials as well. There is a great walking path to the river just across the parking lot. We went on a nature walk at La Framboise island and it was wonderful. There is also a movie theater within walking distance and while it isn't a mega theater with 27 screens it's very affordable, nicely updated, and the staff was very nice. We picked the Ramkota for a convenient stop for our actual destination but found a place that we will be returning to again because it was just so nice and we underestimated the number of things that we could do right there in Pierre.

Nice breakfast staff and area. But both days Ran out of plates and hot food. Recommend to purchase more plates to stay on top of your heavy need periods and have more then one staff per day on weekends. We were there at 8ish both days. Not overly busy.

We had a pool side room and it was great. Breakfast buffet was really delicious and different from most hotels which we appreciated. We walked the trails on la framboise island and that alone was a great reason to stay. Cleanliness of room could have been better but overall it was a decent stay & the midcentury modern architecture was really cool.

We didn’t get Stay at ramkota because they were overbooked so they sent us to a lower class motel for free hopefully and that place didn’t have a pool either. The only reason why it’s two stars is because there was actually a place for us to stay again even though it’s low class.

The resort fee is ridiculous. The continental breakfast was understaffed and ran out of food. The breakfast sausage was pale and looked raw. The pizza is so good. We added hamburger and bacon. They gave us a discount coupon in our room. They have happy hour also on deals for drinks and appetizers.
