Avoid, overpriced and poor quality
Dreadful. When I was staying at this hotel I saw an advert for it on TV. The advert was nothing like my experience.
I stayed here for one night at the end of the Rob Roy Way. I was looking for a bit of luxury to celebrate my achievement. It started well with reception, which is modern and colourful.
However, my single room was dreadful. I will start with what was good, the bed was comfortable and was a bit bigger than a regular single.
The rest was not good. There was no room for a bedside cabinet next to the bed. The TV didn't work (although that was mended). The room was chilly but when the heating came on the shower rail was almost too hot to touch. The desk was chipped and water stained. There was no where to put a suitcase so I had to move everything off the desk to put it on there. The view from the window was of the breakfast room below and I watched the staff smoking and vaping in the back courtyard area throughout breakfast service.
The hotel does have a pool, but it needs cleaning. There was a lot of silt on the floor of the deep end.
This would have been a one star review but the staff were friendly.
The hotel was expensive and very poor quality.
