Not as impressive as we hoped
Impressive looking hotel. Staff welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and functional, and a good size, but rather tired and lacking finishing touches. We would really like to praise it more, but unfortunately it just doesn't stack up against other hotels we have stayed in in Scotland this year for a similar of lower price. In fact for the price we paid (£185 for one night) we expected a lot more and felt this was significantly overpriced.. The bathroom was clean but in dire need of refurbishment, poor tiling and a large chip out of the enamel in the bath. The shower bracket was not adjustable, and there was nowhere to put your toiletries etc. The towel rail never seemed to come on and the bathroom was quite cold. We also had a small (in relation to the room) wall mounted TV which was a Smart TV with an abundance of channels and apps, but as it was not connected to the internet most of the functionality was not useable, restricting to us a few Freeview channels. The bedroom furniture was clean and in good condition, but was all flatpack melamine and nothing like you might expect for a room costing what it did. So some good points but not a place we will be paying for again in the future. We've given it an 'average' score but taking the cost of the room into consideration it should probably be lower than that.
A pleasant friendly middle of the road hotel in a nice quiet location near the town centre. We didn't use the recreation facilities but they looked excellent. Staff and other guests were friendly and helpful

Pitlochry itself is a lovely wee area. This hotel was within walking distance from where we needed to meet for the Enchanted Forest which was the purpose of our stay.
It was dog friendly and they could join us in the pub for dinner which was handy. Dinner was ok. The barman was very helpful and prices were reasonable. My pizza and husband's burger were unremarkable and a bit bland but the bar was a nice comfy space to eat and chill out in.
However, there was a pill left on our floor in the room (from a previous occupant) when we first arrived in the hotel. This is a problem in itself but was more concerning for us since we had our dogs and had we not spotted it, one of them may have consumed it.
I found the beds comfortable, my partner less so. The room was cold and the radiator didn’t really do it's job. When we mentioned this in the morning when asked how our stay was, the guy at the desk didnt know how to respond and seemed to laugh it off. I would guess when he asked if we slept well, he expected a simple yes and didnt expect anything he may have to respond to.
It had ample parking and nice grounds with dog walk options nearby.
Mixed opinions overall. Would stay again if priced right.
Stayed here with my dog for 4 nights this hotel was really dog friendly. Room was very clean and welcoming 10 min walk to Pitlochry Main Street.
Food was nice in hotel would return.

Could of done with carpeting throughout and painter
The room was spacious, warm and comfortable but our sleep was disturbed by noise from a private function. Guests ran along corridor to toilets slamming doors. We enjoyed using spa facilities, lovely pool and jacuzzi. It was easy to pay for a late checkout so that we could visit the spa after breakfast then leave at 12.00. Disappointed that breakfast was a buffet self service. For a 4 star hotel I would expect a menu. Would have liked eggs Benedict but the cooked choice was basic, I have had better breakfast in 3 star b&bs . Sadly it was no better than a premier inn breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. It was very clean and our room was cleaned and towels replaced each day of our stay. Breakfast was well cooked and the evening meal was pleasant though not exciting. The decor was rather tired and the changing area for the pool was in need of refurbishment. The sauna was not working. The pool itself was clean and at a nice temperature. Over all we enjoyed our stay.
Spacious room, handy for enchanted forest, purpose of our visit
Sauna out of action, 1 of the reasons we booked this hotel but pool & jacuzzi nice
Floorboards of room above us very noisy till 3am and in morning

Hotel is well located and it’s rooms are spacious. The pool was great, nice and warm. Perhaps a small toddler playpen in changing area would be beneficial to allow parents to get ready safely.
Unfortunately we found the room to be terribly cold throughout the night, there are small oil heaters provided however with the high ceilings it was very cold. The hotel were very accommodating in providing two travel cots for our 1 year old twins, the room allowed plenty room for these. Unfortunately the layout of the hotel wasn’t suitable for our double buggy either, lift wasn’t big enough to allow us to use it so we did have to lug up our luggage and two babies.
Lovely big twin room, plenty space for babys cot. Bed was extremely comfortable! Hotel had lots of nice areas to sit and lovely wooded area outside. 10 minute walk down hill to the centre of Pitlochry.

The hotel bedrooms were just far too cold and no heating in the bathroom for our whole stay. We reported it to reception, but was not repaired during our stay. It's an old building, but it was very uncomfortable and would make us not return.
