Absolutely great service with the front desk accommodating a couple requests for me. The valet guys were especially customer oriented, having my car ready in advance for each time I needed it. Plus, it’s a beautiful hotel, as you would expect from Fairmont.

Location is perfect for getting to everything Pittsburgh. The service at the hotel wasn’t so good. For instance, on our last night after getting back from the football game to get ready for dinner we had to call the front desk to have our room serviced, then did it again an hour later. They didn’t service the room that day. There were other issues with room service as well. The location is great, the service will keep you wondering if this is really a Fairmont.

Room condition was average with noticeable wear & tear. Surprised me for being a Fairmont Princess. Otherwise, staff & service were excellent. We really enjoyed the location & staff were terrific.

We spent 7 nights here in August and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel looks modern and clean and the front desk staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room and beds were also comfortable although it did look like it was due a deep clean (you can see the dust gathering around the edges of the carpet and under tables etc). The bathroom, especially tiles, also looked tired and due renovation. Out of our 7 nights, the cleaners only came once. Admittedly one time was due to us accidentally leaving the do not disturb sign on! Even though we were out a lot every day, they never appeared. We had to ask for clean towels a couple of times. The gym was fantastic. One of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. And Starbucks in the lobby was excellent and very convenient. We felt that the price we paid was good value compared to other 5 stars in the area and would stay again despite the room issues.
