They do not offer airport shuttle unless its requested 24 hours in advance, which is not known until you arrive at the hotel. No where in the booking does it mention you have to reserve it in advance. Had to pay out of pocket for an uber and the check in staff was not helpful or friendly. The whole reason we booked was for the airport shuttle. Never again.

Waited for 15 minutes at check-in desk and it was absolutely deserted. There was no bell or anything at the counter to alert staff that someone was at counter. I decided to try calling the hotel with the thought that possibly someone would hear the ringing phone. I let the phone ring at least 20 times and still no one came. The office door was unlocked and open, so I took a peek inside and still did not see anyone. After then looking through back rooms and employee areas, I finally found Phillip in a back room and he stated he was taking inventory of some stuff. (??) I found this concerning for the front desk of a hotel as I assume one of the main duties is to greet and welcome guests upon arrival. I’ve never had to search out employees at a hotel before…especially at the front desk. To be honest, I found it to be surprising and quite odd.

First and last for this hotel. The staff have no business working in these positions if they cannot be friendly. When you took a look at the front desk, it was like a scene from the movie wrong turn….this is the worst Hampton property I have stayed at. Went for a cup of coffee and it was cold….went for another cup in the morning, as I had an early flight…and the machines weren’t there. They had to call me a ride to airport because there was nobody there to take me (even though I called ahead of time before booking to make sure I could get the shuttle at 4:30am.

I only stayed for one night. Let me provide some context here: The hotel was clean, check-in was a breeze, and surrounding area was quiet. Unfortunately, the following morning after my arrival I went downstairs for breakfast and enjoyed a western omelette, maple sausages, and a self-made waffle. After completing my meal I was appalled to find a kitchen staff member do several things that turned my stomach: A. After handling the garbage can with bare hands he went into the kitchen and returned within seconds - again with bare hands - with a tray of muffins and proceeded to take each one out and place in the designated compartment. I know he had not washed his hands. Even so, he should have had gloves on when handling food. B. He proceeded to retrieve a bottle with a blue solution inside and a rag, sprayed the countertop vigorously- where exposed food sat - and wiped it down with the rag. C. He then picked up the utensils I had just used to make my waffle, walked over to the garbage can, and sprayed said utensils with the same solution and wipe those down with the same rag he wiped the table down with! To his credit, he was a talented kitchen worker because he completed many of these tasks while holding his phone in one hand, periodically watching something on it. I immediately went to the manager to express my concerns and share what I witnessed. The takeaway - eat the breakfast at your own risk! I will now be very cautious when at this hotel.
