Birthday Disappointment
Contacted the property to say I’d be there on my birthday and was looking forward to a great stay. Was offered a free upgrade to a corner room at no extra charge and told about the busy weekend ahead. No worries as we were there for a Steeler game. Room was already prepaid so great bonus! Upon arrival, no upgrade. Alerted the desk and was told ‘Sorry, it happens when they are fully booked’. Why offer the upgrade when they are aware they can’t fulfill the offer? Poor customer service from a company that should be capable of blocking off one (1) room as promised. Gave a bad start to our stay. Tried to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs after we arrived and I must have missed where we needed reservations to do so. So that further disappointed us. Just one thing after another. We did give the restaurant a try before breakfast on Sunday and didn’t have much luck there either. We were allowed to sit at the bar to eat but our meal took almost an hour to get to us!! The MOD did comp the meal to take care of the inconvenience. Upon checking out Monday, no staff to relay my concerns, so I hope this reaches someone that will make a difference.
