This property is in real need of improvements and maintenance. Even the bedding had holes. This was the most poorly maintained Hyatt I have ever been to. Wouldn’t recommend.

1. 2 of the 3 elevators were broken, forcing everyone in the 7 story building to use one elevator. It was awful. In order to “make up for it”, they placed a barely visible bowl of mini candy bars on a table, which I only saw one candy bar in the whole time. 2. The breakfast buffet was ok. 3/5 stars 3. The front desk people were clueless; I asked a guy if they had Tums, and without looking up from his phone, he said, “nah”. Then we asked a girl if they had any playing cards and she said no, but then we saw a different girl giving playing cards to another guest. Just gave the impression that they generally didn’t really care about their guests. 4. There was a dirty pair of boxers on the floor in a hallway for several hours. Gross. 5. On a positive note, it was very close to everything we needed to get to.

Overall, a nice place to stay and a super location having short walk PNC Park. Two areas that need improvement: 1) We stayed 4 nights. For the last 3 days, there was only one operational elevator with the other two not. We never saw anything indicating that repairs were being attempted. Given that it was a home games weekend, many times we had to wait 15 minutes or more. 2) Many times while interacting with the hotel staff, it seemed that we were bothering them. By no means were all staff this way, but atleast half were. Pittsburgh is a very friendly town and this hotel was the only place that we encountered this.

My husband and I went to sit in outdoor area and it had tables overturned, trash and cigarette butts in fire place and no fire. Room was clean and comfortable and so was lobby. Staff was courteous and efficient. Good stay. Was disappointed on outdoor area due to wanting to utilize space.

Overall, we had a great stay here, although it was just for one night. The staff were very pleasant and kind. The self-parking ($26) was conveniently located adjacent to the property. The room was very clean but it could use some updating (but overall not bad at all). I would stay here again.

Location is a 10 for sporting events, but the hotel room was not clean. Rug was kinda gross, and looked like they hadn’t vacuumed in 2 weeks. The shower near the ceiling had black mold growing, and the furniture had stains and marks on them. Even some of the towels were a bit dirty.
