Staff are lovely, room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Breakfast was better than expected. Great options if you are vegan (I had beans on toast most mornings with mushrooms or other veg). They had different types of milk and cereal. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from a very clean and quiet beach. Was very happy.

Sehr gutes Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis, von einem älteren 3-Sterne-Haus wie diesem sehr positiv überrascht, von besonders freundlich-kompetenter Rezeption bis zu tadelloser Sauberkeit in allen Bereichen und gutem Frühstück. Zimmer und Bad mit angenehmer Größe und Komfort, normale Fenster die sich komplett öffnen lassen und internationale TV-Sender. Ruhig, sauber und auch die öffentlichen Bereiche komfortabel, viele Sitzgelegenheiten und tolle Lage. Komme gerne wieder, sehr empfehlenswert zu diesem Preis.

***WARNING*** property is not what it looks like in the photos. Very dirty / unsanitary / unsafe for families. Although the staff is friendly the room was disgusting. Hairs (as in many) all over our sheets along with unknown residue. Mold in the bathrooms and on different parts of the rooms. Electrical problems, previous burn marks on fridge, when you shower dirty water starts filling the tub and comes out of the sink & bidet. It does not drain properly. The lights in the bathroom flickr because of exposed terminals. Our flight arrived late in the night which is why we booked this hotel, because of its proximity to the airport. We got the kids ready for bed and the more we looked the worst it got. The staff was willing to switch us rooms at 1:30am but the other room was not much better. This is years of neglect not a random fluke. I wish I would have looked more closely, I highly suggest anyone booking here go somewhere else for your safety and your money. Worst hotel my family and I have stayed at in.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Balear and would stay again. ▪︎Location: close to the airport, beach , shopping, and restaurants. Easy to reach with public transport. ▪︎Breakfast was very good with a varied choice of food. ▪︎The staff were always pleasant and ready to help out. ▪︎ Slightly vintage decor which we found cozy. ▪︎Nice living room for guests to use. ▪︎Large balcony. -The bathroom was small and needed a walk-in shower instead of tub.

Great location near the beach. Not loud, away from the nightlife. Parking is tricky but doable. 24/7 frontdesk which was great as we arrived late due to rental car shenanigans. Nice group, great breakfast!

Subpar yet expensive hotel

I would stay far away from this hotel. The front desk staff are incredibly rude. Our AC was “working” but even at the coldest and highest setting, it was blowing out hot air. The WiFi is very spotty and did not work half of the time. The only positive aspect is the hotel’s close proximity to the airport. We stayed here at the end of August 2025 and it was pricey for what it was.
