This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We had 9 of us on a guys trip. When we arrived at the property we were very disappointed to see that half the resort was shut down. While checking in as well we didn’t receive a free room upgrade as Expedia promises when they are available if you are a gold tier member. I assumed that there were no more rooms available but we asked if there were any upgrades available and the lady said yes but to purchase which was 100USD per night. The sports bar and our favourite restaurant were both shut down. I feel like we should’ve been notified of the construction going on as we would’ve likely booked a different resort. Nonetheless this resort still has some fantastic qualities. Lots of pools and very easy beach access. We tipped the bar tenders very frequently but the service became poor if we didn’t tip every time. Overall a decent resort for the price and we all still had a great time.

Outstanding customer services - the staff is very friendly, responsive and helpful. All problems are solved by one phone call. Very clean rooms, always fresh towels and filled mini bars. Special thanks to Jorge (beach volleyball activities) and Nora (yoga and dancing on the beach) - great job, you made our stay active and funny! Amazing dance group - every evening show was a pleasant surprise. All restaurants - great food suitable for all taste preferences. However, if you're planning to stay in this resort keep in mind that the beach area is filles with piles of seaweed, and the water is very shallow. Also, the half of resort is closed for renovation which means there is active construction activities with noise and dust. This little detail is not mentioned on the resort website.

This resort and its sister property are currently under construction. We booked this vacation back in March 2025 and construction started May 2025. We were not informed of this until we arrived at the resort and saw what was happening. Be prepared to only have access to about 30% of the resorts described amenities. The restaurants are nothing special at all. If you look at all of the menus, it is basically the same thing For every restaurant just described differently on the menu for each place. For example, macaroni and cheese appears to be a staple at every single restaurant, whether it be French, Italian, or Mexican. The resort is very dated and dirty. I understand why the renovations need to happen, but the resort should have informed us upon our arrival and or should have given us a reduced price on our reservation. There is a lot of seaweed there this time of year, that is not the resort’s fault obviously, but just to know we could not or barely could swim in the ocean Because the seaweed is so intense and the smell of it is very overwhelming. I never write reviews for hotels, but I definitely feel that perspective people wanting to book. This resort currently should look somewhere else as you will definitely pay full price for only getting 30% of what the website offers you.

Great staff but the buffet area needs more attention during meals and a better variety. The pool area also could use an update and possibly a lower temperature of the water. The grounds were well kept and the entertainment was fun, the beaches were ok but had a sea weed problem while we were there and the sales people bothering you every two minutes while you’re relaxing on the beach isn’t great.

I liked the overall experience. It stunk outside our room. We requested to be changed and did not hear back. Bathtub was dirty(attached picture).Bathroom Door Broke.The drinks were very cheap and definitely not 5 star value.We were given a free massage and we called and went up There numerous of times and were not able To Set an appointment. We ended up getting a massage on the beach instead.It was not a 5 star experience at all.

The hotel is very spacious and pleasant. The air-conditioned rooms are old and noisy. The toilet floor tiles were completely ruined. The staff is very nice and experienced. The beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming. The smell of sea weed was annoying. The hotel services are excellent.

The time share company on site was trying to hard to make sales. There were no actual take home information for consideration. It was all " buy now for best deal" tactics. The wildlife on site was nice. Love the Mexican raccoons.
