A lot of check in issues. Check in at around 1pm ,the lady who helped me and my friend checked in said will have our rooms ready at 3:30pm, then we went to eat lunch, and tried to finish it at 3:30pm and went there , the lady Eva wasn’t there anymore, so we asked other staff in front , I said we already checked in with Eva ,just come to get the keys . And then the guy said they don’t have two rooms available in the same building , me and my friend we asked before when we checked in , and the lady took about 45 minutes to check us in and told us to come get the keys at 3:30pm. We come at 3:30pm said not ready, then we came at 4:30pm the guy said we don’t have same rooms at the same building , but I can check it out now , and took about another 15 minutes , finally gave us 2 rooms 4455/4459, and that 4455 that river view is not that good view as the lady told us . And 4459 bathroom door is broken. Anyway not a good experience.

I booked 2 rooms all inclusive for a full week stay for my family in early August. The positives were: Good room condition and daily maintenance. Good transportation from the airport-hotel-parks. Also, My family had a pleasant SPA experience. On the other hand, Hotel was way overcrowded, in room dining took 2 hours or more. Restaurants over booked or no reservations available. Food safety can be a concern. I got sick from eating at one of the restaurant. I know of another person who also got sick from the food. Inconsistent service levels. Some staff members lacked tact. Xcaret park was a nightmare, way overcrowded to be enjoyed. Pool facilities looked and felt dirty. Unfortunately we also experienced poor checkout service. Management is non existent, so there was no one to raise concerns to. Overall, I don't recommend staying this hotel, especially in Summer. Better to book elsewhere and just buy the tickets to the parks you want to go to.

There was a lot of construction noise in our room as they are building the new section of the hotel. We had to change rooms during our trip, however, the staff were not very accommodating in the room change and made us argue for quite a while before making the change. also, our room did not get cleaned one of the days and we had to get staff to clean the room. They were busy during our trip so the Front Desk and Concierge rarely picked up the phone as well.

The property was beautiful. But they were extremely unorganized. Our flight there was delayed and we missed our bus transportation by minutes. So we had to wait at the airport for a whole hour to get the next bus. The transportation is a scheduled bus not individualized. There was a waiting room at the airport where they checked us in, but we still had to re check in when we got to the hotel, and this was so timely. The property was extremely large to a point where even the workers there did not know where places were, what restaurants were open or what restaurants needed a reservation. We asked multiple workers where the new restaurants were and we were giver wrong directions or simply they were not sure. We were told in the beginning of the trip that these new restaurants did not need a reservation but when we tried to go, they did. The restaurants can go from not needing reservation to needing reservations and the only way to know is if you go the restaurant and find out because if you call the front desk, no one picks up. It was hard to get a hold of anyone, you have to just walk up to the front desk. The food was really good and the drinks were also good. If you have little kids, it’s not worth it, they can’t do much at the parks. It’s geared for 10 year olds or older. They advertise water slides, but they were under construction still. Check out the as awful. It’s a very long process of waiting in a long line and another line just to get on the bus. I would not return.

My family and i have been going for the past 7yrs and it always exceeds our expectations. Staff is professional, courteous, and extremely welcoming. We love that its a all fun inclusive concept. Hands down the best hotel ever!

The Xcaret Hotel was beautiful and loved it all. However, I was not happy when we arrived they wanted to give one King size bed with sofa. When I reserved two Queen beds and they told me it was not guaranteed. We waited over an hour close to two hours for full check in to accommodate us in a two bed. And unfortunately, our room was by the elevators. Hard to sleep due to noise. And on the first night, a couple was obnoxiously and very loud were arguing outside our room by the elevators. Disturbing our sleep. Next time we plan to stay away from elevators and travel more during the week.

The all fun inclusive is a must for those that want to enjoy without worries of transportation, food or park costs. Huge, clean, and beautiful property. I loved that the room came with daily complimentary water, drinks ( sodas, juice, beer), snacks and free room service. Staff was so friendly, patient and genuine. Already planning our next Xcaret stay.

I was very disappointed with the Xcaret Mexico check-in staff. They strung me along for over an hour, telling me each time that my room was not available. We booked a river jump suite for the night and were super excited about having the river right outside. We had talked about it for days. We were told that the river jump suite would not be ready (with no reason as to why) and that we had been ‘upgraded’ to an ocean view suite on the 5th floor. They made it sound like it was a super special upgrade, way more expensive! I could give a crap about an ocean view. If I wanted that suite, I would’ve booked it myself. The staff were indifferent and sort of rude about the whole thing. My son was really disappointed, as was I. Thankfully all other Property staff were extremely kind and friendly.

The lobby staff and supervisors at check in are terrible! You expect superior service at a 5 star but it was more like 2 star service. Check out staff worse! No help or accountability whatsoever. My 7yr old dropped his bracelet and were charged $250 USD!! When I asked if they end up finding the bracelet (which they will) they said they will keep the $250. Had to pay to leave. The checkin process is average an hour and half. We stayed one week and extended because our kids loved the pools. Once you get past the checkin staff, the interior staff is wonderful. Grounds are wonderful, but there is tons of construction still happening. The non-buffet Restaurants be sure to reserve in advance or else no accommodations. Love the grounds but would not come back just because of the front staff. They need more training in helping customers in making their vacation easy and pleasant when arriving. Again, you expect this when you pay a premium. The room service takes easily an hour. Will not be coming back unfortunately.
