PROS: -Property was amazing & very clean. We had a great time. The options of pools around the facility was endless. You didn't have to share a pool if you didn't want to because there was so many options of pools. They did a really good job of upkeep on the facility & the landscape was really pretty. Staff was friendly, very accommodating, & nice to speak to. CONS: -Food was mediocre & Americanized to very simple food. Dinner does not start until 7pm so from noon to 7pm the only option is hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos & finger foods(including room service). The buffet had a different style food each night but the restaurants there were not the greatest. They were more "fancy" restaurants so there was a dress code for them. I really only liked the buffet or hibachi. -The swimming pools close at 8pm and nightlife didn't start till 9pm. -There is no ocean view rooms because the rooms are on the far end of the hotel & The ocean is not seen from the hotel at all (to get to the ocean it was less than a 5-minute walk) -The bartenders at the swim up bar took forever. Just to get drinks, we were waiting 10-20 minutes each time so we couldn't just enjoy the passing time. There was really no need to take that long to make it drinks. It gets busy but not that busy. I can see 5 minutes but 20 is ridiculous (all other bartenders were great & fast) -There are a lot of critters on site at the resort. There were cats, raccoons, monkey looking critters, & iguanas (you are in the jingle)

We felt the swim out suite’s value for your money is very good. The à la cart restaurants are pretty mediocre but the buffet and any of the made order stations at the buffet or pool were delicious. The spa staff may have sticky fingers so don’t bring your tip cash with you, if the services are good come back and tip. Concierge services on the deluxe side was less than on point. But overall for the money this is a good property and we would return just for the swim-out rooms.

What was meant to be a relaxing getaway turned into an absolute nightmare at the Princess Yucatan. While the staff demonstrated kindness, their goodwill couldn't compensate for the resort's shocking failures in basic hospitality and hygiene. DINING: • Cold, unappetizing food that was consistently disappointing • Inexcusably slow service at restaurants • Drinks made with artificial dyes and bottom-shelf liquor, showing complete disregard for quality • Even basic beverages failed to meet minimal standards HYGIENE & MAINTENANCE: • Pool furniture harbored dangerous mold underneath cushions • First room reeked of mold, forcing us to change rooms • Second room's cleanliness was equally concerning • Wildlife running rampant throughout the property (cats, iguanas, raccoons) INCIDENT & RESPONSE: The breaking point came when we returned from dinner to find a RACCOON ON THE BED in our second room. The management's response was appalling: • Only offered to change sheets • Refused to properly sanitize the room • Declined to provide alternative accommodation • Showed zero concern for guest safety and comfort At 2 AM, we were forced to make emergency arrangements to transfer to the Hilton Playa Del Carmen (adults-only, all-inclusive) - an expense and inconvenience we shouldn't have had to bear. VERDICT: Save yourself the stress, money, and potential health risks. Despite the staff's pleas

Bryan at Morning Buffet was amazing and so much fun. He made our eating experience so much more enjoyable. He did great service. Entertainment at the Adults only pools were lacking some but over at the Sunset Resort, entertainment was so much fun. We had a swim-up room at the Yucatan Resort, which was beautiful, but spent most of our days over at the Sunset Resort pools. Over all, the Resort and Dining was wonderful. Thank you for making our vacation memorable!

From first impression when you come in to this resort the place look nice & modern. However!!!… The place is infested with raccoons, cats and even big rats. They are literally everywhere:pool area, beach area , walkways and the worst case last night we woke up @ 6:30am to horrible noises and found out that a raccoon came inside the room and start eating what ever he could find. It was terrifying. Although the room is specious, we found it to be quite dirty. Our sheets had stains and never got changed. Room service was the worst. Anytime we ordered anything either we didn’t get it or we got it the next day after calling them several times. Food & dining areas: overall the restaurants looked nice, food was average at best. Not every restaurant opened every day. But every other day. Tapanyaki restaurant can only make reservation the off at 5:30. Waited in line for over 30 min and we got rejected because they already filed out for that night. So if want to dine there(which i recommend) be there at 5pm. Entertainment was pretty lame and lacking. Felt very quiet overall. They could use more music at the bar and pool areas The staff overall was friendly no complaints. So to recap I’m dissatisfied and disappointed from our experience from this resort and we won’t be coming back nor recommend it to our friend.

This property was amazing. The staff was so hospitable & extremely accommodating. The food surpassed my expectations. Even the buffet had amazing, authentic Mexican food. The restaurants were all great, I was went to all of them and was never bored of the food or service. This is a calmer resort which is exactly what I was looking for. It is a huge property though & I believe the other side was a bit more high energy. The beach is rocky, definitely recommend water shoes are brought. But overall I loved it, I already planned my next trip there

The property is so beautiful. They have a lot of things going on for entertainment . The only thing that upset me was me an my boyfriend was Denied at Multiple dinner because he need pants . Nobody informed us of that before we came . So that was a lil upsetting.

The staff is so attentive. The hotel thought of everything. The room is stocked with everything you need, hair dryer, iron, scale, umbrella, mini fridge with drinks and alcoholic beverages, pool/beach towels. The nightly entertainment is amazing. The performance group is the far best one out of the 9 resorts we stayed in. Food was excellent. The only restaurant that requires reservation ahead is the hibachi. The only feedback I would recommend there is to allow guests to make reservations with concierge the night before as oppose to needing to go to the restaurant the day of and sit in line to make reservation. So, gusts are rushing from the pool or beach to grab a spot. Other than that, all is great.
