Mixed Experience at the Resort We had a mixed experience during our stay at the resort in Cancun. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our visit. However, a significant downside was the time wasted on presenting paid services, which felt unnecessary and disruptive to our vacation. While the resort was advertised as all-inclusive, we were disappointed to find that tables with better views of the shows and many desirable areas required an extra charge, which didn’t make sense for an all-inclusive package. On the bright side, the entertainment team was absolutely amazing, bringing so much energy and fun to our stay. The restaurants also offered great food and an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, while there were some positives, the extra charges and upselling detracted from what could have been a more seamless all-inclusive experience.

The building is extremely loud and you hear everything - neighbours sounds, footsteps outside and upstairs, as well as doors slamming shut. The beds are also incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable. The pillows have no support. The staff were extremely kind and helpful but this is extremely disappointing that a Hyatt Secrets resort would be in such terrible shape.

Property, service, food, drinks was good but the upgrade I got. Swim out pool and the upgrade they offer me was a second floor room in the preferred area which I told I rather stay the one I got but give me the benefits of the preferred which is the preferred club and 1 more restaurant along with different area pool and they didn’t. In other resorts they done that for me secrets in bávaro Dominican Republic also excellence in Jamaica and I forgot the name of the one in puerto Vallarta but besides that everything was amazing

Secrets Maroma has to be the best all-inclusive we have been to. We have stayed at other inclusive like the Hyatt turquoise tower and the Dream all-inclusive in Cancun. Those two mentioned resorts do not even compare to the Secrets Maroma. I will be honest, I am particular and have no shame in calling a resort out. This place gave me no issues. * The food was very delicious, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to food but this place had me finishing all of my dishes at multiple restaurants. This is shocking for an all-inclusive, how many times have you paid a few grand to get bland food at the resort? You will not have that issue here at Secrets. Not to mention that the staff are 10/10, super kind, and very attentive. * The shared pool was nice they have 2 big pools that are beachfront. We had our private pool that came with the room we booked. * The beach was perfect; it was one of the best beaches I have been to. I have been all around the world, and this beach is one of the best: clean soft sand and clear ocean water. * The room is soundproof, I have sensitive hearing. I slept very well here. The beds are soft and the room is well-circulated giving you clean fresh air. * Safety is top-notch here. You need to pass 2-3 gates to even be able to enter the property. you're surrounded by thick vegetation so bypassing security is not easy. * Getting kind of lazy right now. My review will not do any justice you gotta just book and check it out for yourself.

Beautiful resort. We stayed in swim-up room. Lagoon is nicely heated. Resort has a wonderful staff who work to make your vacation memorable. Breakfasts and lunches are excellent. Dinner restaurants have improved over 5 years ago, not great but good enough. Beach is clean with powder sand. Water clean and not rough. Enough activities to keep you interested being in the same place for your entire stay Highly recommend

It was absolutely amazing! The staff is so hospitable and kind, every response is “it’s my pleasure” and “anything is possible”. I’ve been to Mexico four times and stayed at various resorts and this by far was my favorite. The peace and relaxation and just all around access. I also stayed in a junior suite swim out which I highly recommend! I can’t wait to return :)

Service was incredible. Food was delicious at the buffet and the restaurants. The day time pop up grills and drink tastings were a huge plus for me. I ate pork belly every day and loved it. Sometimes I would ask the bar to make me a fun non alcoholic drink. Each time I would get fresh passion fruit drink. We were there for the Day of the Dead celebration. Unfortunately it began to rain so the employees had to take everything down. Everyone was so apologetic but to be honest we saw the incredible effort, the beautiful displays, and all of the hard work that went into everything. The rain didn’t change our opinion. The birds and wildlife were also great. For those who were curious we booked a preferred room. We had no complaints. I would like to come here again.

This is the best resort experience ever! The food was amazing, I ate more than I usually eat. The restaurants were not hard to get into. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this resort, we went for our Honeymoon.

The beach was amazing and the proximity to everything in the property was great. 4 stars because it seemed the entire resort closed down by 11pm, except for “club area” and lobby bar. Would be great if the sports bar and activities were open past 11.

This is our new favorite Mexico destination. All of the staff you see are friendly and at your service. The resort is clean and beautifully appointed. We went in December and they had festive decor all over the property. The food is great from Room service to the buffet to all of the restaurants. Our favorite was Portofino. We stayed in the preferred club and Roger our concierage was very kind and accommodating. Alberto, our attendant at the pool was outstanding! He kept the drinks and the food going all day. The beach was beautiful. Love the white sand and blue water. Very easy on the eyes and feet. They had constant entertainment options available, but there was always space to get away for peace and quiet. In the preferred club, we had a swim up which was wonderful. I highly recommend it. We also had privileges to our own lounge with snacks and a bar with coffee and top shelf drinks. I also want to give a shout out to Daniel who was the valet at the entrance. Very friendly and kind.
