Positives: bartenders, wait staff and maids were exceptional. The beds are very comfortable. Food is very good with a different menu each night. Negatives: concierge service is not friendly at all. They have you text the WhatsApp for anything but they NEVER follow through with your requests. You cannot control the temperature in your room, you have to use the WhatsApp to get the temperature to be changed. There is always a dampness in the room so be prepared to wash ALL your clothes even if they are not dirty. If you even think you may use the pool on your balcony, you better ask as soon as you check in and it MIGHT get filled by the middle of your stay. Otherwise if you like a small quaint hotel on the water and don't require anything extra then this hotel is good.

Overall i liked the hotel. Staff was really friendly and its nice and quiet. Only negatives I had was the room need some work done, visible mold in the shower and the electrical breaker needed to be reset every few hours

I’ve been there a couple times and fell in love with the property then. But returning was not the stay I was looking for. The property needs an Overhaul from new beds, pool needs retiling, rooms need painting, the balcony tub wasn’t working properly mini frig wasn’t stocked had to call back after checking in. Too bad the property owner won’t hire me to oversee property repairs and overhaul. It’s Still a WONDERFUL location for getaways

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place? This is IT! It was my first time in this beautiful and cultural boutique resort for my birthday and I loved it. They made sure myself and my party were well taken care off. The food was incredible and the house made sauce is something I highly recommend. I was a cheerleader for the underdog and this place and a precious gem that needs to be shared. I hope you give this amazing and unique place a chance. Come with an open heart and allow yourself to experience a real Mexico experience with an amazing staff that works there. They really made my birthday special and made me feel safe. Hope you love it too! Enjoy 💗

*DO NOT STAY* unfortunately this place was such a disappointment. We booked a 7day stay and had to switch rooms 3 times due to MOLD. The rooms are filled with mold in the shower, bathtub, walls, ceiling, & even the bed sheets. There is NO hot water, barely lukewarm if you’re lucky they told us that the boiler was broken. We didn’t get to use tub because the water was pee yellow (No Exaggeration) we brought it up to a worker and got the response of “that’s just the water it’s fine”. The toilet in our third from was running 24hr. There was nothing good about this place we thought the reviews were a little exaggerated and trust me they are not. This place is filthy they do not clean the rooms, sheets, or towels all the sheets were stained or with mold as well as the towels. There was maintenance workers walking around all day but nothing seemed to be getting fixed. The front desk staff do not care about what is going on in these rooms or if you are comfortable with your stay. There is no real beach access you have to climb down and over rocks with the water hitting against them to cross over to the beach it was very dangerous. The jacuzzi on the roof top don’t work they are never filled and look filthy. If you want to waste your money stay here but I would recommend spending a little extra for better quality and service.

The food definitely needs improvement you can tell that management told them to cut back and water stuff down Some of the worst food I've ever had. Breakfast was just okay The first night we were there we ordered appetizers coconut shrimp for 12 bucks a piece and you gave you two little shrimp each that was their idea of appetizer

The privacy and quiet were what we were looking for. We stayed at this resort 5 years ago and it seems that property maintenance and upkeep have been deferred. They could use a little sprucing up. Food quality seems to have tapered off a little also. Staff remembered us and we again had excellent service. The room is spacious, the view is excellent, the quiet atmosphere for a romantic long weekend was perfect for what we needed.

Senses is a beautiful, quiet getaway for us and we love coming here every year! The food is absolutely amazing and the rooms are clean and very spacious and the view from every room is spectacular! Most of all we love the friendly staff who work so hard to make sure that all of your needs are met. Christian, Angel, Hernan and Gerardo have been employed there for many years and we love coming to visit them twice a year. We can't wait to come relax here again in April!

My wife and I booked this resort for our 10 year anniversary. We were concerned with the reviews, as they are mixed. Shortly after arriving we found that most bad reviews were unwarranted. This resort is for a specific demographic. For couples who want a very quiet, personal and romantic holiday it’s exceptional service. We stayed for 7 days and were not bored at anytime. While there is not a big night life, the Blend restaurant is still a great time until 11pm every night. The staff will play any music requests and dancing is always welcomed. The drinks are always done just right! The al la carte menu is amazing with some very talented chefs! Please do not let the bad reviews discourage you from booking and experiencing this gem! The resort does need some maintenance, the beach access to the southwest (Iberostar) is rocky. However, at low tide it is easy to navigate. If this is not acceptable, NO PROBLEM! The beach access to the northeast has no issues and the beach is very swimmer friendly! Communication was never a problem, even with our poor Spanish. We hope nothing but the best for this resort and the staff that make it so amazing!! BOOK WITH THEM!!!

Finally back from our trip and have had some time to reflect. I wanted to give an honest, detailed review, because I know the previous reviews had an influence on my decision. Overall, we had an amazing time at Senses. What you are getting is an intimate, relaxing vacation when you stay here. It's adults only, and not heavy on activities. For the price, it's not much to upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The rooms are massive. The patios have a great view, and super private. We were never worried about anyone being able to see us in our room or on the balcony. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay on the first floor, everyone at the pool can see into your room, which would really defeat the purpose of having an ocean view. Our room was great. We made friends with other couples who had a much worse time. One couple didn't have hot water the entire trip. Another had to change rooms because their bed was broken. If that had happened to us, I'd be writing a much different review, and it definitely explained some of the other reviews I read when booking this. You're going to get to know the staff, and they are all amazing and go above and beyond. I enjoyed every meal I had there. But the availability of food was a bit of an issue. There are no late night options, so if you don't get back till 10:30 pm, you're out of luck. They tended to be out of a lot of things at the pool bar, which was annoying. Portions can be small, but you can always order more. Overall though, great stay.
