I booked based on rave reviews and the vibrant photos online. However, upon arrival, I was immediately disappointed. The hotel looks old and dingy from the outside, and unfortunately, things didn’t improve when I entered my room. My room was dark, dank, and had an unpleasant smell. Nothing like what was advertised in the pictures. The online images show bright, colorful spaces with nice furniture, but the reality was far from that. The furniture is SEVERELY worn and outdated. This hotel obviously hasn’t seen any renovations in at least 15 years. I chatted with a couple staying right next door to me, and they felt the same way. They were just as disappointed with the outdated rooms and would not recommend it. Adding to the disappointment, there’s nothing immediately around the hotel. You can only walk to the beach. Also, the food at the hotel is incredibly expensive! I ordered sea bass and a drink and it came out to $65! Where you stay on vacation can really impact your overall experience, and unfortunately, staying here was the low point of my trip to Costa Rica. If I’d known how outdated and misleading this hotel was, I would never have booked it. Thankfully, I’m only here for three nights. If my stay were any longer, I would have left. What saved this place from being a complete disaster was the staff. They were wonderful—welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The hotel was also very clean. Overall, this hotel did not meet my standards. False advertising & confusing reviews.

It is an “older property”. For example- there were not plug ins everywhere for cell phone charging. But- the room cleanliness , quality of the food, the staff friendliness and competence, as well as the location and the beautiful grounds more than made up for that. Definitely recommend and would stay again!!

This was the first place we stayed on our honeymoon in Costa Rica. We wanted a place near the beach that was not too far from Liberia Airport. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Willing to explain anything in English or Spanish. We enjoyed how everyone was willing to help us with our Spanish, as we are trying our best to learn and practice more. We have to give special thanks to the wonderful employee Ronny who gave us the warmest welcome to Costa Rica and felt like a friend right away. We hope to return again one day and chat again! We loved the style of our room and the comfortable temperature and bed, as well as the spacious bathroom/shower. Lots of place to hang and stores clothes or let them dry out after swimming or being in the rain. One of the best parts was being a few minute walk from the nearby beach - Playa Hermosa, which lives up to its name. Wonderful view, sand, and small waves. There is also a swimming pool on site which was great to enjoy especially on a quiet night. The restaurant staff cooks up some great breakfast and dinner, we loved starting the day with a filling plate of Gallo Pinto. Sitting on the grounds you will encounter a ton of birds and possibly some lizards and passing families of monkeys. The staff also helped us book a dinner boat tour nearby which was a ton of fun- we highly reccomend that.

The property is nice and great service BUT i felt that they took advantage of me and charged me 5$ a beer and way more for a shot of tequila. I know it's common in CR to charge "gringos" more money and its was not cool because I wanted to have a few drinks and wasn't going to pay the extra fee. Sorry. Everything else was good. Just ask about the prices first.

I really enjoyed the hotel hospitality. The hotel is located 1 block away from the beach. The walk to the beach and the beach itself was absolutely beautiful and quiet. I stayed at a room with 2 single beds. The room was super clean and comfy. The hotel also included a delicious breakfast.
