The view of Flat Head Lake is spectacular. The only issue I had with the property was trying to get into the swimming pool and hot tub area. There were a few guests living at the hotel with a number of small children. They would be in the swimming pool area pretty much all day which meant we had to wait until after 9:00 o'clock in the evening to use the pool and hot tube.

Room stunk. Dogs barking at midnight in room across hall. Moved. . Not given room with lake view. Moved. Old marked up furnishings rusted bottom of tub. Not enen offered a discount for the trouble. Wouldn't recommend.

When we drove up to the property at 9pm on a Friday night, there were zero outdoor lights on, not even in the entryway of the hotel. The attached restaurant listed hours as "11am to Close", which was way before 9pm, as the slightly rude host yelled at us as we went to ask if they were still open. When we went back out to find food anywhere, the unlit parking lot (pitch black, not exaggerating) made me twist an ankle. Will NEVER stay there again. They should not advertise an adjacent restarant if its only occasionally open. The sad part? I grew up in the town, have stayed at this hotel before, and it was not like this. 😟

Called them to make sure our service dog wouldn’t be charged Also they advertise a lake view and can’t even see the lake from their location And we could pay in cash as the exchange rate on credit cards was way higher than at a bank Got there they wouldn’t accept cash they wanted to charge to the credit card then refund us at check out time costing us $450 in exchange rates alone plus they wanted $45 a night for our service dog Which they told us over the phone was no charge for so we refused to stay there and and went and got a way nicer hotel room for $65 a night cheaper right on the lake
