Walls are paper thin and if you're on the first floor, any movement on the second floor is clearly heard. Also, most of the time, there was an odd sound coming from the fridge that was kind of annoying. It's definitely an old motel that has not been well maintained, and pretty expensive for what you get, but it is a great location and met our needs for quick access to that City pier area and the downtown.

There was frequent street noise that wasn't abated by the windows or insulation. Also, not insulated well from guests on the above floor. Good location to downtown. Bed was good. Bathroom could use a good makeover. Decent sized refrigerator.

Enjoyed the room

We traveled to the rain forest and only had a night here. It had a comfortable bed, was fairly quiet but a lot of traffic noise. We were in the 2nd floor and appreciated a ramp to pull our luggage up. No breakfast available. Very tight parking.

Chose this motel for its walkability to downtown, which ended up working fine. It's a bit of an uphill coming back, but it wasn't really a problem for us. When we arrived to check-in, we found they had upgraded us to their King Suite, which was really appreciated. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. There was an A/C unit in the room that really helped keep it cool. The pillows are a bit flat, so bring your own pillow if that's an issue for you. I did, and I slept a bit better for it. We could hear the cars go by, but we were back a bit from the road, so it wasn't too bad at all. All in all, a great stay for one night and we'd stay there again.
